Presently there is not an option for a Brake/Tail/Turn light kit, however, you can isolate and program a pair of the rear modules so that the Red color (if the bar has red modules) works like a B/T/T. You can choose either 'Steady On' or 'Brake Alert' so it flashes quickly before it goes steady.

It's not hard to do. Recently did it using a core and 500 lin red. I went off the can signals I think next time I will do a tap and use the inputs not as fluid as i wanted

How does the 9xs compair to the Legacy in size of thickness? Is the Legacy thinner?

Good question. The Legacy is thinner than the 9SX Series. These are the heights, excluding mounting feet: Legacy 1.6". Edge 9SX, 1.86".

Is there a comparison for these versus a Legacy or Liberty II? My Legacy doesn't really illuminate with standard Duo modules and I get better illumination with my high-beams and spotlight. Does the optics of the new 9 series focus any better? The dedicated Procella TD optics have helped but I'm looking for something with more focus overall

We don't have a comparison video of the three lightbars [Edge 9SX, Legacy, and Liberty II], but given our experience with them, the brightest Take-down lights are in the Liberty II, the 12-LED Hi-Intensity option. This has the brightest overall light output and focus.

Hi just subscribed. I’m wondering, I know whelen has a 8° flood light And a 2° spotlight. But dose whelen/unity have a 6°? Or am I just mistaken.

We don't recall a 6-degree beam pattern. Unity's standard LED spotlight is a 2-degree, and the X-LED is a 9-degree. Whelen's are either 2-degree or 8-degree.

@@SIRENNET I’m your #1 fan, both you fellas are bloody brilliant working together. I’ve been a fan for many many years, I retired from metro with 38 years, in 2021. I’m teaching LEOs, however I always promote your channel to the boots, at the academy,where I teach. I often get asked about Tomar, and if F/S is better than Whelen? I advise the youngsters to research this on your channel. I genuinely think both are great products.

Maybe no one will understand what I am asking by asking this question but I will try anyway. I work for a PD and we have whelen wecan X controllers. And for some reason the wail plays as if when when the siren is off, it still plays. For example when you turn on the wail it could be half way through the tone. It’s just very odd. Does anyone know what I am talking about if so, why do they do that? What’s the purpose?

I am unsure why it does this, my departments have the same issue. I would assum you would need to ask whelen but my guess is the siren stops and then continues where it last left off but that is just a guess.

That's because the Core system uses an internal timer, and your department's shop has programmed it to sync with the internal timer. If you don't want it to do that, you'll need them to 'unsync' each of the siren tones.

Im sure stupid question. In the road daily. I’ve struggled to se my beacons in the middle of the day. That obviously doesn’t work for me ornthe guys in the road laying down mix. Anyways my dumb question of the day is lmk will this lightbar be able to cleanly be mounted to headachebrack
