Unfortunately, as of April 2021, this thunderbolt was replaced with a 2001 DC. This siren use to stand near the Chisago Lakes High School on Olinda Trail. Unfortunately the chopper was dying so they eventually replaced it. My best hopes is they send it in to get restored, even if that means it'll have a new home.

I think a 2001-130 or SRN replaced it actually, the DC looks more like the one under the water tower but it's hard to tell with the two unless you get a better close up of a look.

@@dank980 They're definitely better than other electronic sirens by far, I just prefer sirens like 2001-130s or ASC T-128 is all. That's just an opinion, Whelens can talk and actually tell people what to do, like check their nearest device, TV or radio which is something mechanical sirens can't do, but it all comes with a cost. Sure they have less mechanical moving parts, if any at all depending on the model, decreasing maintenance in that sense, but it's not always great for sirens to be more electronic either. The more electronic a siren is, the more problems it could have.

@@mroak6504 SRN I think actually. I got a better close up look of the new siren recently. I pass by it everyday, as well as the other Tbolt that is still in good working condition and still up today! There's also an STH-10 near the primary. Plus a model 5, Thunderbeam and a DC under the main Lindstrom tower. It made me sad they replaced this Siren but hopefully they continue to take care of the rest of the older sirens in the system.

As of February 2nd, 2021, yes. It is still up today. I'm not sure how it's doing though.

Nope, it was replaced by a 2001-130 in April 2021. The chopper was dying and it was near a high school. However there's another Thunderbolt 1000T on Stacy Trail Lindstrom and since it's near a literal neighborhood, they actually have it set to a lower pitch on the chopper transformer, so the motor brushes hopefully will last longer. Unfortunately although this one was replaced, the great news is at least that one is still doing quite well to this day! There's some more recent videos on it too.
