What happens to the distance between the brackets, mounting bolt hex heads and the fascia piece. How does the fascia mount flush to the counter❓

how do you attach the countertop to the bracket? or is the weight of the countertop supposed to be enough? I am doing a floating solid surface breakfast bar, and don't know what product to use to attach the solid surface to the top of the bracket?

If using granite or quarts, i believe they use a silicone adhesive to allow for expansion or contraction with temp changes.

@@FederalBrace I have a similar question. I'm installing brackets after the granite install, just to support a 13" overhang for our bar. I've read to use silicone on top of the brackets to ensure a very snug fit with the granite, as the silicone will add just enough material to create a little tension. Is this accurate or should I go dry? You guys didn't use anything here.

I have a 16 1/2" bowl sink for my bathroom. Im considering getting an 18" deep 24" wide 1 to 2 inch thick quartz piece. What size bracket do you recommend? Can you make the brackets with a matte nickel finish?

Our quartz top will have a 23inch overhang wills these L brackets work or will I have to build a cabinet underneath for support
@FederalBrace3 жыл бұрын
Hello! We would suggest using a gusseted bracket for this application. With an overhang of this size, we also suggest having 2/3rds of the countertop overtop cabinetry. If you have any additional questions, do not hesitate to reach out - 877-353-8899.

Your substructure looks pretty solid. Why cant the countertop be placed on top of the substructure (without the brace) and use silicone (similar to placement on top of a base cabinet?

If you don't support countertops in the middle very much is there a danger of the countertop cracking? This is assuming man-made quartz.

Thanks for your comment Grant! Any large span of unsupported stone countertop is in a danger of cracking. While structurally stone counters are resistant to deflection and cracking, when unsupported static weight becomes too heavy, the stone will eventually fail. However, of greater consideration should be active or point load forces. In an application involving large spans of unsupported stone a point load force can immediately compromise the stone structure to create cracks and even complete failure. Examples of point load forces include heavy objects being dropped on the counter, people sitting on the edge of the counter, or like my kids like to do, hang from the edge.
