In my opinion, Novak and Rafa are the two greatest sportsmen of all time. Their toughness, resilience, fighting spirit, and longevity are unmatched. But it was Roger who made me fall in love with tennis, every movement of his transpired a mysterious poetry, an aura that transcended the game itself. I like to believe the person who invented tennis dreamed the game to be played the way Roger played it - with grace, sheer talent, artistry, and lightness. And he did it while winning, pulverizing records, and competing against the two most achieving players the sport has ever seen. It is such an unfair undertaking for future generations to fill in the shoes of these 3 great champions. What are the odds of witnessing the three greatest players of all time in any sport competing against each other at the same time? I hope Novak and Rafa keep delaying the end of an unforgettable era for as long as they can.

nice comment, but as Novak compatriot i feel the need to introduce you a bit more. You will never see similar player as Novak.Reasons - 1.Upbringing (Novak knows what it is to be hungry)2.You can not match Serbian stubbornness ( at the beggining of his career he felt he can compete on highest level, but could not materialise, only Novak, CR7 and MJ had this work ethics. 3. He had rivals to be motivated and goals to achieve. 4.Selfconfidence ( he told Janko Tipsarevic back in 2016. he will not stop until all records are down. 5.Mentality ( when you grow here nobody gives you nothing, you are on your own.Novak keeps his hunger alive by constantly raising his bars, each and every day are more demanding, as a player, as human, he demands more from himself.6.No fear ( grow up while NATO bombed us really , with all our history of surviving through wars taught us to be proud and fearless. When you pay close atention you can see both Fed and Rafa are scared of Novak, while he is entertained by meeting and playing with them. And last but not least. 7.He really knows what does he means for us and he fights for all of us, while we are working and providing food on our table, so national pride is included aswell.Big regards and take care Northern friend.

I know some Djokovic fans think it's wrong for Rafa to pick Roger as his biggest rival, but from 2004-2010 Roger has no doubt been Rafa's biggest rival, as can be easily seen from the autobiography published by Rafa back then. And then there was the 2017-2019 period when Roger completely changed his game and surprised a lot of people in how well he faired against Rafa on non-clay surfaces. As a Rafa fan, I've generally been much more nervous for Nadole matchups than Fedal matchups, but not so during those three years. So when we look at Rafa's career as a whole, I am just not surprised that he would pick Roger over Novak as his rival for life.

The three greatest of all time respect each other, acknowledge how important the other two are for the sport. We should follow their example and do the same. 🏆 Some miss the fact that it is the rivalry between them which makes this era special. It would not be as entertaining if there was only one dominating the tour.

Those 3 men have immortalized the rivalry forever, something like this unusual will never happen again in the history of sport. One of the most beautiful and hard-fought epics in tennis history. When 100 years pass they will be transcendental or worthy of memory for the world around the figure of 3 heroes representing the virtues of each one. Epic.

It's been such a great privilege to be able to watch these 3 legends over the last 18 years - they've brought out the best in one another and produced some absolute epic matches in the slams. 20-20-20 after Wimbledon 2021, hopefully the final of the 2021 US Open will feature 2 of the Big 3. It definitely won't be the same once all of these three players decide to hang up their racquets for good, so let's enjoy watching every match they play against each other :)

@Nikhil Eshwar what!? That's pretty illogical perspective. Novak came in when both Roger and Rafa were beasts!! Years and years went by where he barely clawed through. He has had it the toughest by far! He has made it look easy, which shows what a champion he is, but don't for a second think that Nadal had it the toughest due to the other two. Djokovic always had these 2 behemoths to face from day 1. And the hallmark of Djokovic has been how he has managed his body, his diet, training and on court gameplay which has resulted in far lesser injuries. Nadal is phenomenal, but Novak is every bit that amazing and arguably more too.
