I love the backdrop, beautiful scenery that's really fitting for the subject. I was considering going on location to some of England's castles to do some sparring video's this spring time when the weather gets better. Good lesson as well.

Blocking the opponent's sword with his buckler is simply an amazing technique. Thanks @Federico Malagutti for this informative demonstration ^^

Thanks for uploading Federico. I currently work on the right overbind as well, so this is a nice reference point. :)

Beautiful video! Nice to see some I.33 again. I love your interpretation of 'durchtreten'. So basically you call the yielding to the overbind a schiltslac against the schiltslac? Nice interpretation indeed!

Exactly! Thank you very much!

Excellent video, I love how well and simply you explain things that took me..... a really long time to work out. I have one question: how do you feel about the blow after the shield strike being a false edge cut similar to a sturzhau or zwerchau rather than an unterhau?
@FedericoMalagutti4 жыл бұрын
Todd Greener I have seen Roland interpretation on this. I can’t say it’s right or wrong, but I prefer the unterhau because is more direct from the position I reach. I consider the other option valid as soon as it’s landed with enough speed ;-) Thank you for your kind words Todd!
