That's my favorite JLC right there. I find dive watches with a chronograph function very kool alot of great dive chronographs in the 70's. I'm so tired of faux patina. Alot of awesome vintage inspired pieces are ruined by faux patina that looks like mustard. That looks very tacky you just can't beat real patina

Aesthetics aside is there a purpose for a diving chrono?? A Chrono can’t have great water resistance and I would imagine is far too clunky to actually use the timer underwater

Despite switching to mechanical watches to get away from the "soulless" singlebeat per second of a quartz watch, there's something about deadbeat watches that makes the "same" movement feel so much more alive with a gravitas that has always been appealing.

Actually Fed JLC never made this watch in the past so it is not a reissue. It is vintage inspired by the Deep Sea Memovox. There was no JLC diving chronograph. This is also the watch Paul Walker wore for one of the fast and furious movies.

Wasn't the vintage JLC "Shark" chronograph from 1960 a diver and the JLC ref E2643 aka the Deep sea from 1970 that looks very similar to the JLC in the video a diving chronograph both have dive bezels with a chronograph complication

@@lonewolfemcquade8133 oh yes you're right. I forgot about the Shark. What I meant was it is not a reissue. The shark and the E2643 used the Ervin Piquerez compressor case that Heuer also used. Actually, Sinn still uses that case. The deep sea diving chronograph used the deep sea Memovox case.

Great video as always Federico ! Love all the watches, especially the JLC, though I generally dislike chrono divers (whats the point of the combo if you can't actuate the chrono underwater?). They mostly are never done right, but this proves there are exceptions to the rule. Also, I remember you saying that a type xx's movement is beneath Breguet. What changed your mind?
