James, I am a FedEx Courier in Canada, and you are very accurate in your feedback. We work in the same building as Ground, and YES they are very different from Express. Your views are pretty similar to mine here in Canada, very accurate and great video! Overall though this is a Great Employer to work for, especially in this rural environment that I live in, here in Canada.

I work at FedEx express in California and right now for courier starting is $23.50 hr and most are just part time positions

I accepted job offer and went and did drug test and background test. My application says “inactive” instead of “active” now. It’s been a week since I heard back. Is that normal when should I hear back for orientation? BTW I’m in Atlanta. Applied for courier.

It's hard to say because I had a similar experience. It was a whole month after I did all my tests before I heard back. Apparently, who was over onboarding totally lost me in the shuffle.........very unprofessional. You should check with them.

It about a month, and they didn't have cameras in our trucks at the time. But, they may now.

@@jarquez1427 full timers and part timers all begin working in the station first pulling freight for their trucks off a belt, Off loading frieght, putting labels on packages, sorting, making sure everything goes to the right place. Do pre/post checks for company vehicles. When everything is done everybody sorts the freight in the trucks then go deliver before a certain commit time. Full timers work longer as they get more guaranteed hours and pay. Some get a mon-fri while others have a tues-sat schedule.

I threaten to quit yesterday and my manager said please don’t we’re going back to normal next week we’re only going back to normal next week because our station is a hot mess

@@jarquez1427 I got on at ups as a package handler when I was 18 or 19, but had no idea what an opportunity it was just getting in the door. I walked out and was placed on the do not hire list. That was in ‘04 or ‘05. You live and you learn.
