Just think, the fights of this man were watched by young Khabib with his father. And now Khabib is already a legend himself and has retired. Without exaggeration, every 3rd modern fighter from Russia and CIS grew up in the battles of Fedor. Today, many people say that Fedor is overrated, but they just don't understand that every era has its own context. It's silly to compare sovereign mma with the old one. Fedor the legend, one of the goat of mma if not the best for me, he is one of the first at the time when I watched the pride to have shocked me, there was incredible competition at the time. The real ones remember the pride downloaded on shareazaa / kazaa and others in the 2000s, memories that will remain engraved forever All my life I will remember the day he smashed my favorite fighter Crocop, damn it was hard, but Fedor was already ahead of his time. Huge respect to this champion who will remain in the pantheon of 21st century warriors, an exemplary attitude whether as a fighter but also humanly, that's all you can expect from a champion. Fedor is like a monk or ascetic, great austere alone that is worthy of respect, never cleaving to any particular thing, as when one pushes the pendulum swing one way its antithesis oscillation one must too deal with. Don't allow your joy to be had in the illusion of 'winning', nor your sorrow in the theme of defeat. The Last Emperor displayed a many of teachings: 1. Adversity is never a thing in considering giving up 2. Be humble in defeat and in victory 3. Respect the nature of the fight and the constituents 4. Know what you fight for 5. Be a man 6. Many people nowadays can not imagine the grand spectacle that Pride was back in the early 2000s. I remember the Saitama arena had 90'000 fans in attendance, and you could hear a pin drop it was so quiet until a punch or a kick was thrown, and there would be a tremendous groan that would reverberate like a thunderstorm. The mma culture was so organic, and the Japanese fans were so respectful. You compare that to UFC, where the fans are a bunch of drunken trailer bums in their behavior ( no offense). I was an mma junkie and I couldn't get enough, especially for Crocop because I'm Croatian, and I was in awe of this guy. He seemed so unbeatable ( I thought Randleman loss was a fluke), and then he fought fedor, and although I was hurt when he lost, I couldn't help but be impressed with Fedor Whan an animal I thought ....

Khabib was great, but FEDOR WAS GREAT AND SCARY..and never called himself the Goat... That silent calmness, and humility that changed instantly into unbridled, violent, resolute aggression.. reminds me of my great pyrenees gaurd dog.. just fearless. Fedor was not a one trick pony like khabib was . your fight record does not always reflect greatness. Khabib never stood in the fire long, when he was in trouble on his feet, such as the connor, Gauthie, michael johnson, tibau fights . he never knocked anybody out, he always defaulted to his wrestling, Fedor did it all, like john jones, beating people at thier own game. Khabib was the very best, hands down in his weight class, for the era he fought, period.
