This week Kevin and the volunteers are busy deticking and feeding the lions whilst they clean out their enclosures. All in a day’s work!

The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
To raise awareness, Kevin has now set up his KZbin Channel 'LionWhispererTV'. The channel is all about raising awareness about not only the declining numbers of lions, but also how this rapid decrease is happening. By watching these videos, you are directly contributing to our scheme of land acquisition.
Kevin captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
By doing this, Kevin hopes to give people an insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and to let them see just what they can do to help. You can nearly touch them.

Leopards are so gorgeous too. Smaller but as majestic as the lions.

Leopards are badass. To see them climb up a tree with an Impala (or what ever) in their mouth is madly impressive. Their agility and balance is unmatched, fuck they can outmaneuver monkeys when climbing trees. Pound for pound they're extremely strong. I recall Kevin saying in the " meet the leopards" video that if you scale up the leopard to the size of a lion "he wouldn't go anywhere near that animal". That says a lot.

The care these animals are given SHINES! They not only look FIT! and clean-strong and beautiful, but their calm and mental stability is so evident; they walk strong, proud-heads held high; and energetic-NO sign of depression from THESE guys! What a SUPER JOB! The spanse of the enclosures get HAND CLEANED and their poop checked! THEN there is direct and immediate COMPETENT medical care! MY OH MY! I watch from Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I can only imagine the work in that hot sun to keep everyone in such beautiful condition. I watch a lot of lion and big cat things and I can see lions with tics in the wild, well some tics and if they’re sick it’s worse but with Kevin and other sanctuary where the lions are so well cared for it’s hard to see anything. Your team of volunteers and staff do a great job and it shows so I thank you so much for allowing us to see these gorgeous cats in perfect condition.

Major props to Kevin AND STAFF, it takes my husband and myself just to put the topical flea and tick medicine on our very wiley dog Zoe. LoL She takes the oral heart worm, flea, and tick med with no problems but she tries to run, hide, and wipe off the topical meds. She is too smart, she figured out that if she runs back and forth in our mudroom under the hanging coats she can dry herself off on OUR COATS when it rains. It's amazing how smart and resourceful animals are!!! Thank you as always for sharing these videos
