Hi, Bubbie. I'm an 84 year old Grand Bubbie, and my son just told me how to view your videoa. I love your kitchen, your pots and pans, so like some of mine, and your teaching the language and favorite foods of some of our families. I cook many of the old Jewish type dishes also. Zei gesundt and keep entertaining us. Hugs from Bubbie amy

Bubbe; I made your receipe. Very good. I make sweet and sour with can of tomato soup, can of whole cranberry sauce, chile sauce, lemon and sugar. Also very good. You are a treasure!

My first taste of roumanian stuffed cabbage was babysitting for a neighbor who told me to help myself. It was the most delicious thing I ever ate. However i quickly learned most people did not even know of sweet and sour cabbage so I had to learn to make it myself with golden raisins. I no longer roll. I make stuffed cabbage soup and its just as good. I do enjoy the savory recipe but not as much. When restaurants try to make it it tastes like ketchup and is barely edible. Im so excited to SEE someone who knows this dish actually make it! Thank you, Bubbe! ❤

I am so sorry to hear you passed away. I grew up in the Boston area, and I love your accent. My bubbe had a Hungarian accent. I'm looking forward to trying the cabbage rolls. They look more like what my mother's family used to make than others I have seen on the internet.

I put the cabbage in the freezer for 24 hours. After I take out,I leave the cabbage at room temp,to defrost, and in 10 minutes very easy I take the leaves off.Or,if I am in a hurry to make the cabbage rolls, I put the cabbage into the microwave for 10 min.The leaves comes off also very easy. Cabbage rolls are European food, not only polish: russian, german, jewish, lithuanian, ukrainian.☺Thank you grandma, I believe your cabbage rolls are delicious!

bubbe, before you boil the cabbage you should de-core it and take all the hard bits in the middle out. that way when you boil it the leaves just fall off and you can take them out 1 by 1 after they fall off
