This was fantastic. 47:00 is one of the best and most powerful minutes of any podcast I’ve ever heard

Love this one. Two coaches who have shaped and reshaped my programming philosophies.

48:00 that’s some beautiful logic! If you injure or slow the sprinters, you’re not doing a good job as a coach! Amazing to think that so many COLLEGE T&F coaches literally do this and somehow still have a job. Tony, I have a friend who is probably gonna be good enough to do HJ in college. Is there a way to vet a college T&F program to see the progression of athletes?

All college coaches say their sprints and jumps are low volume and I laugh at them. Must talk directly to athletes in the program and ask specific questions. The only college I trust right now is Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Tough question. I would suggest attempting to change your circadian rhythms. Try earlier bed times (darkness and no screens two hours prior). Experiment with your breakfast food. Experiment with coffee or Celsius (orange) energy drinks. Do as most of your training in the AM. Hope this helps.
