Still have syrup on a few colony’s which are still taking it down, there was a good ivy flow locally so most are at a good weight. I do have fondant ready also, but I don’t put it on unless they heft light as I find they will eat the fondant even if they have stores left lol…

Happy Sunday - although It never stops for you does it? I agree syrup is fine if temps are right never mind the month. The climate is changing , the bees adapt and we need to too in our management

I've been using just syrup. There's not a lot of difference between the price of sugar and syrup at the moment. Personally, syrup is the best option.
@richardnoel314112 күн бұрын
@@paulfairbrass4424 I agree but it does pay to shop around. Globally prices of sugar have fallen but there is a lot of suppliers Beekeeping wise, they have a lot in stock and they’re not gonna drop until they’ve shifted what they’ve got so you have to shop around if it’s worth it the problem is we’re all driving 20 5080 km to get a deal and the reality is you’re not saving any money you’re just creating it to work for yourself and burning more Fioul to get cheaper sugar which isn’t cheaper in the long run. You’re absolutely correct.
