Just a reminder, don't forget to put nuts and tape on all the bolts in the floor so that the resin doesn't clog up the threads of the bolts. If the nut is most of the way down, when you remove it after finishing the floor it will clear the threads.

@@danphillips4590 building and concrete plus mezzanine and floor heating around 200k at the moment. Yes perhaps cheaper . Grunts all add up to about 35% of total cost. Buying a kit building and having someone else put it up on a contract was where I saved money.

It's a far better decision to get all the structural work done before the fitter's and machine installation. I've fitted a lot of mezzanine floors, and it's an absolute nightmare trying to install them. Working around equipment, power and water services. It's certainly the business.
@richardnoel3141Ай бұрын
Yes I would agree completely. I’ve seen lots of stuff done later on in projects and as you say it’s particularly difficult to add stuff around existing things. Time will tell but hopefully we’re on the right path to end of November completion
@Tj-ot4jpАй бұрын
Not sure why you're putting resin over the top of a power float concrete, if it is just a plain resin, won't that be slippery when wet or if it is anti-slip that would make it difficult to clean, just wondering.
@richardnoel3141Ай бұрын
The vast majority of the floor is actually a very porous specialists heating compound that conducts heat so if it’s not sealed it will just absorb honey and propolis forever. Yes your point is valid ! Will see what the finish will be like. We might add some sharp sand on the concrete areas 👍🙌
@Tj-ot4jpАй бұрын
@@richardnoel3141 Hi Richard, can I suggest that you blind it with kiln dried sand, that is how we do it, sharp sand will have a lot of moisture in it and is a bit too big, kiln dried is much finer but still give abrasive resistance and...is dry 🙂 Btw it will need to be applied as they put the resin down.

Why are the stairs in the middle of the lower open space? Normally those would be placed near the outer wall leaving the lower area open to larger equipment movement. Now there is choke point. Also the second floor should not have any open spaces around the vertical I beams. Heaven forbid but in the case of a lower level room fire by the outer walls, those floor openings can act at fire flues and ignite the 2nd floor. The rest looks fantastic but I'd move those stairs and fill the floor holes.
@richardnoel3141Ай бұрын
Mike, as per discussions in the previous 2 videos the decision of where to put the stairs remained a dilemma. however the original design is the best scenario. my loader has to have a place for its feet to slide under so the central corridor was the best place for the loading baying because its central to everything. putting the stairs to the left of the loader bad would them mean the corridor would loose most of its its access space making it tight to load and unload. a better place might have been putting the stairs to the extreme right, but this is virtually impossible because you would walk your head on the beams on the top of the stairs. the stairs where they are also are best positioned and central to the overall work area for storage. and as i said, theres not a lot of heavy equipment going to be stored. mostly light fish stuff, probably no more than 400 kilo pallets or 800lbs at the max. No building is perfect. wait until all all the ceilings and rooms are in underneath.
