Great video James. I used to live in Cropthorne, but now near Evesham. Those are some excellent tips and no matter how long you have been fishing, you can always learn something new.

Good video, thanks for the tips, part about those stopers was good, never thought about that - fish just hooks itself, good stuff, loved this video, very useful.

Hi! I like to vary the hooklength I'm using depending on the conditions and how the fish are responding. Its not a short hooklength compared to a method feeder or true bolt rig. I think 2 foot is short when compared to traditional feeder rig on natural venues. When the fishing is harder or when I want to present a bait on the drop then I use longer hooklengths up to 2m in length. Anyway use what works for you!

Nothing like our black bream here in Australia We pronounce them as if it was spelled "brim " but spelled the same way .. Ours are salt water estuary fish and fight like crazy. A decent bream around a kilo (2,2 pounds) can just smash you and run you all over the place ..These English bream remind me of carp for some reason ..Your tackle is very interesting but again nothing like how we fish for our bream . Usually we use a leader with a hook and small running sinker .. sometimes just a simple hook with no leader ..

I'm pretty sure we call that a Carp in America. Bottom feeder or trash fish. Some people eat them and some don't.

Good information, but why add those ridiculous sound effects. We are all sufficiently engaged to see the video all the way through. Please assume we are intelligent anglers. Ah! - perhaps I should have to addressed you as 'mate'.

4 to 6 foot hook length? wtf! no need! 4 to 6 inch max for any hook length i use! inline method feeder i use by guru! 4 inch to 6 inches on rivers! 3 to 4 on still waters!

Let me tell you I was lucky enough to fish with the legend Ivan Marks in the 70's and 80's and he always worked out how he would get more bites than anyone else. In those days we fished waters like the Welland , Nene, Great Ouse and I can guarantee that ONE of the best tips he ever shared with me was for Bream on the Welland a 6 foot tail on a paternoster rig.

TheBambislayer You do not go coarse fishing do you? A bream is a silverfish over here in europe, they are not even related to carp -__-
