for a different venue - maybe Makins as it gets hammered with betaine green, would be interesting to see if a different soak would make a difference... Great Video

Clever idea that - putting Robin Red on the Right. Have you got 'R' and 'L' painted in white gloss on your wellies? 😄 Great vid as usual, I'd have put money on the swim stim catching more skimmers. Look forward to next time, maybe amino or squid up against the reigning champ. Cheers

another top video rob and not a bad ghillie too, so rob you're at match at barston are you gonna put a short skimmer line in using robin red and a longer line with the fl soak for carp or do you stick to one flavouring on both lines.....all the best scott

That the question I came away with... I’m still non the wiser 😫😫😫
@robertcourt85935 жыл бұрын
What did Steve think of your experiment?
@davidlynch17805 жыл бұрын
I did Rob and very interesting it was Maybe didn't explain myself properly, Barston is a big water, it would be interesting to know if flavours actually pulled fish on a water of that expanse. I know no control methods will be perfect and I can see you've gone to a lot of trouble to even things out. Would be really interesting putting two feeders within a couple of yards of each other and see if flavours out fish unflavoured. Keep up the good work, it's appreciated. Again sorry if I sounded curt, just finished a 12 hr Shift on a busy A&E, so not firing on all cylinders mate.

The more rods the better I guess - I’ll need arms of an octopus if i want to try everything going through my head. So many questions

Another good video Rob. Can i ask about your castizm reels. Do they balance well enough on 11 foot rods size and weight wise? What size would you say there are, around a 5000?
@RobWootton4 жыл бұрын
They work well on powerful 11 footers.... I wouldn’t want to use on lighter 11ft rods.... I use them for casting 50m plus. They are about a 5000 size .. nice big spool

Agreed sweet v savoury v fish flavourings would be an interesting test as my experience is sweet (maple or cinnamon) for winter and savoury for spring (Robin red, fish or bloodworm) but as Rob mentioned the fish do get accustomed to a flavour e.g. Cell being coconut. On one of my syndicate waters last season one renowned angler caught a specimen Carp on peanut/banana Bollies so majority members followed suit with good results whereas the previous years go to flavour, strawberry, had a poor showing. Surprised Steve Ringer didn't suggest chocolate 😅😅

Hi rob really like the idea of the flavourings vids, having been a carp fisherman for many years it’s always been a interesting subject. There was a good piece done by frank Warwick on a Korda vid years ago on ph levels and it’s effects with different venues. Blew my mind mate.
@soccernoop5 жыл бұрын
Good video Rob! 1 parameter wich you cant influence is, if the fish is already on the spot yes or no. By just casting 1 or 2 feeders without pre bating its hard to tell if the fish is more attracted to the spot because of the smell. Just nu opinion. Keep testing Rob!
@RobWootton5 жыл бұрын
Yes Frank, I try my best by swapping the rods over but still hard to tell
@simonprice19385 жыл бұрын
To be honest cant see why fish would be any different to us.. one day you fancy something sweet next savory.. But sadly it dosent answer what to choose at the start of the day... Nice experiment thou and quality filming.
