I still hate to loose a fish but honestly it doesn't bother me near as much as it used to. Just the opportunity to go fishing and knowing I had one on is more satisfying than ever. Must be my age. Hope Alex is feeling better soon.

Tnx for the nice video Carl. I'm Dutch and really wanna go fishing in England more and more watching the vids u2 make!! About the hair-stops; they either should be made of a material which will fully desolve, or one should use fixed stops!! We as fishermen should not contribute to poluting the water/ environment we so love to fish in!! Please let all your vieuwers know this: dont use plastic hair-stops ?!?!

I felt the pain of losing that barbel, it’s happened three times to me this year getting snapped with 10lb hooklengths. You make a good point about checking your line for any damage between fish, it can make all the difference with landing a potential PB.

Almost had my first Carp today, 25g Method Feeder, on a RED Feeder 11ft rod. Almost being the word. It was on the line for almost a minute, then TWANG. Rod went straight up from being bent almost double to pointing straight to the sky. Hook link and feeder and hook still intact. How on Earth did it get off??????🤬🤬🤬🤬 Frustrating doesn’t cover it.
