Question, will I lose the lead on each cast? Or does it need to snag a bit harder to lose it?

I have a random question. I have got back into mu fishing and bought my first carp rod recently. Isit necessary for me to have a bite alarm at this stage?..

What rod do you use?

The Palomar is a high 80% knot. The double Palomar is a high 90% knot. Just make a double overhand, instead of a single.

Hello I was just wondering if your Spod or marker rod should be the same length as your main rods? Because of wrapping and stuff with the sticks

Carl, I've got a question you may be able to answer. Ok, Without being too graphic, we as humans eat sweetcorn, and it passes through our bodies undigested, it comes out whole, ok. So, as we know, fish love sweetcorn and we catch them on it all the time. My question is, do they digest it and break it up inside their bodies? I can't imagine they would be physically able to pass a whole grain so I'm thinking their stomachs contain acids which digest it/break it up. Would you agree with this?

Great video. I'm interested in trying dropshotting, but the lakes I fish have plenty of pike. Should I still use fluro? Is it possible to make a dropshot rig using wire?

I went fishing a couple of days ago. I don't fish for carp. Always float and maggot. With a telescope rod Caught a lovely carp 5+ lbs, it was a proper battle with my cheapo rod and reel. Loads of fun struggled to get it in the net

The lockness of the lakes.. try a husky jerk lure with neutral buoyancy. if it doesn’t sink at all try some suspendots by storm to add just a small bit of weight. You want something that sits in the mid. It’s irresistible to them. You can also try spooners.. Red Devils or five of diamonds

From my experience: Corn - Cheap, colorful, but attractive to small fishes Rape - More expensive than corn, not much visible, very attractive and can be very smelly. Big carps love this. Its very soluble Boilies - Small boilies for fast catch, bigger boilies for big carps Pellets - Soluble, very attractive for fast takes pop up boilies - attractive, but some big fishes find it suspicious
