This song means so special to Jon & me!( yesterday went to soon as well) I used to know him very closely when we were very young teens! I got to know him through our mutual friend( my best friend for 28 years who betrayed me after all) for my songs.I wish if I could tell you & others all about it,but can't as I'll get in a big trouble unfortunately. But ,Jon was so impressed& told me I blew him away! And I pushed him to be a greater drummer ,though he was incredible already at 12!!!, I heard from people! He used to call me every week! He told me that I was his spark & soulmate! I never got to see him play til in '99! He moved me! It was an epiphany moment of my life! I really really wish things were different for us & especially for him! I miss him like crazy! It's so sad that many don't recognize his name! He deserves to be noted as one of the greatest drummers all time ,if not the very best! I know he was/is! Besides Buddy Rich! He was the most caring, the kindest , the sweetest man,A REAL MAN I've ever known!

Just saw them play live in Oxford and opening with ELF (a very decent new song). And then remember buying 'Polythene' and YWTS around 2000 and listening to Feeder for first time. Awesome stuff down the years and keeping the momentum going (through the tough times, too) - love their sound and how the band has evolved.

Watched this video a few times since original upload. Jon just blew this song away with his drumming. Even Grant said that he just nailed the song in a way no one else could. The use of ghost notes is particularly good, like Jimmy Chamberlin did with the Smashing Pumpkins. Top performance by the boys. These were the Feeder days.

@@Darvana- Thank you so much for your reply ! I know what you said there ! But, I was his child hood friend & his 1st & last crush/ 1st love ,I AM TELLING YOU THE TRUTH. The credits of songs & what music industry & entertainment business tell about their profiles are often not true at all ! So ,please don't believe it ! Even how they formed bands & how they got scouted are often all lies ! I knew Jon ! Jon died for me ,sadly. I was having PTS for a long time because Jon betrayed me as he was the last person on earth would had betrayed me ! We were childhood friends ,real best friends ! 'Seven Days In The Sun' was Jon's very 1st song & he wrote for me !!! He was only 12 ! I was 14 ! I told him to be a fast drummer ! He was a more jazz influenced rock drummer & he was already an advanced drummer as well. We were going to form a band together ! I am a singer/ song writer . We met through my songs . I have been writing songs since 10 ! But ,I decided not to keep in touch w/ him til we'd grow up a bit more as Jon wanted me to be his girlfriend ( & became quite obsessed with me ,it was very flattering ,but I liked Jon like my younger brother ),I couldn't ! But ,my old bestfriend got in the middle & started giving him advises & lied to him about everything as she didn't want me to succeed & she wanted Jon for herself ! The crickets in the song's lyrics were real ! One day ,I had too many of them singing very loud in the background inside of my house ,so we had to raise our voices at each other as we couldn't hear us on the phone !That was why they used a cricket in the beginning of their music video of " yesterday went too soon "also ! And my nick name Jon came up with for me is the same as my internet user's name ," spark " as you hear it in ' Seven Days In The Sun ' !Jon was the only person called me spark ! It was a long distance relationship ! I am Japanese. The Prada was " proper " back then in the lyrics ! He wrote almost all songs for me ! He liked purple colour as it was my no.1 favourite colour back then ! Jon started wearing purple ,too ! Lol. He wrote ' purple' for me as well as it was his childhood promise to me ! Jon was the sweetest man ,the most adorable person I've ever met ! He never slapped his wife ,or any woman !!! Please do not buy that story as all bull !!! I can't tell you all the story . But Jon would had been the man to stop any man from slapping a woman ! He was a very very passionate & romantic / melancholic man as well as the kindest man I've ever known in my life ! Jon was a very generous man gave many credits to Grant as he was Jon's hero ! Where did you meet Jon in '99 !? Thank you again for your reply ! I love hearing from Jon's fan !💜💜💜🥁🐉🎤💕💞

@@spark_6710 Sorry but what you are trying to say is total lies!!. Grant Nicholas wrote ALL THE LYRICS From the "2 - Colours" E.P. Through to ECHO PARK - The last album Jon performed on!. I know a lot about the music industry too!! - And they DO NOT And CANNOT Press Hundreds of thousands of albums and print ALL LYRICS BY GRANT NICHOLAS If they were written by Jon or anyone else!!. When I saw a live performance of Feeder back in 1999 inTokyo, I witnessed what the best drummer could do.! It was an EYE/EAR OPENER performance of LIFE!!!My eyes & ears were on Jon Lee ,not the vocalist ( I'm a vocalist),or the guitarist ( he is a nice guy & very talented), either the bassist ( which was my most favorite instrument to listen to all of my life!),THE DRUMMER!(which was the least interesting to me!)All the things I had heard & read of what the GREATEST DRUMMERS COULD DO , HE WAS DOING IT!!!He was LEADING THE MUSIC , he was the VIP of the band ( was easy to see),I could hear him in his drumming, his feelings & moods , EVEN HIS PERSONALITY ! w/ THE MOST GORGEOUS &THE PRETTIEST TONES & SOUNDS !!!He had the MUSICALITY & MELODICALITY, the details ,the skills , the techniques, the speed & power ,fluidity ,moved his hands like liquid! ATHELETICISM,STAMINAS ,not to mention ALL THE DYNAMICS that the most of pop/ rock musicians & singers forgot ,or simply NEGLECTED TODAY! He MOVED ME! A DRUMMER MOVED ME!!!It was an EPIPHANY MOMENT OF MY LIFE! I MISS YOU JON LEE! ONE OF THE NICEST & THE MOST ATTRACTIVE PEOPLE I'VE EVER MET!THE MOST TALENTED MUSICIAN I'VE EVER MET IN MY LIFE! It's about the time for people to know who Jon Lee really was ! The sweetest man I've ever known !!! A very talented song writer as well ! I left the link of a video of their interview for grand turismo 3 which Jon drew my name's initial A on a note pad there( my real name is Atsuko ,spark was my nickname Jon made ! )& held it to the camera ! But ,I just can tell you ,you are on the right track if you play jazz drums & this song's drumming inspired you as a drummer !👍👍 Then you've got more things in common w/ Jon than you'll ever know !!!🥁🥁🥁 This song was very very important / memorable piece to both Jon & me ! And ' Yesterday went too soon '!!! Besides ' Seven days in the sun '( Jon's very 1st song he wrote ) &' tomorrow shine' he wrote both for me when he was still a kid ! He wrote 'purple' for me as his childhood's promise to me ! My favourite band at the time was kiss ( Jon thought I had a terrible tastes in men as I told Paul Stanley was my fave ) & ' Strutter' was/ still is my No.1 kiss song & I asked Jon to play the drum intro of ' Strutter' for ' Seven days in the sun ' for me back then ! Jon did it twice live !!! There are videos of it on you tube showing him doing it ! One at the Reading's wearing a red t shirt ( he was very emotional during the show & I can tell he was saying goodbyes to his fans there ! It broke my heart !!! He was also mad at himself after playing ' we can't rewind' & took that out on his technician guy ! As he wrote that song of me in double sided message of mixed up feelings & he regreted him saying mean things in the song to me ) ,another one where Jon wore a dark navy t shirt ( live at T park ,maybe ? )! Clearly doing it !The reason why Jon often sat on his chair angled facing to cameras was because I told him to do it like the drummer of U2 in the early era when we were talking on the phones back in the 80's ,you can see it in U2's very early music videos ! Lol. I thought that was very funny / interesting ! And that gave me an impact ,so I told Jon to do it ! Lol.Jon remembered everything I said ! 💜💜💜💜🥁🐉🎵🎤🎶💖💕💞

Hence the reason only 3(REALLY?!!)people from your uni will have heard of them but in their 21yrs they've had 21 TOP 40 HITS!. can Biff match that?.
