this movie is TRASH!!!!!! Read the books, seriously. There's this MASSIVE amount of lore that they cut out of the movie. The Varden stronghold is in a dwarven city inside a massive hollow mountain, the magic system is more akin to science than magic, the princess is an Elf, there are like 2 or 3 other non-human sentient races. Imagine someone tried to adapt the Lord of the Rings without Dwarves, Hobbits, Elves, or Orcs. This movie is the equivalent of what you'd get. And that was the book the author wrote when he was 15. In later books you learn about one of the old Riders who in a last act of defiance, used magic to turn his own body into a nuclear bomb. I'm not kidding, nor is that something I'd call a spoiler since it's not actually relevant to the story in a significant way

Ich finde der Film hat das Buch zerstört.... Ich habe eragon mit den Hörbüchern begonnen, dann die Bücher gelesen und dann den Film und ich war nicht mal enttäuscht vom Film sondern einfach stink sauer... Ma konnte Harry Potter Magie verleihen und ausklamüsern und verfilmen, bei Der Hobbit und Herr der Ringe auch geiö verfilmt aber die geiöe Story von Eragon ist einfach vom Film zerstört worden. Himmel sei dank gibt es keine zweite Verfilmung
