Hey. We love Ireland. My wife’s family from Armagh She is a Mcfadden. We also hosted a junior farmer exchange in 1976. She was from Antrim. We visited her in 2006 Had a bus tour of most of Ireland. Thanks for watching and keep commenting. Very interesting. Yes our feed costs are crazy and not sure if cattle prices are keeping up. In that video. The big white faced heifer weighed 1735. I shipped her Monday

What recommendations can u make for a small guy like myself that is trying to get started in the business..I raise 20 head of my own and would like to buy some more to put with them just not sure how to feed them out and be profitable

Good question. With $9.00 corn. Margins are tight. What feed stuff do you have available??? I find oatlage to be a cheap feed when grown after wheat?? I find the TMR is a great help. You will have to decide what your market is. Backgrounder or finisher. Or do you have cows?? I find with my bunker I need 150 to keep the face fresh. So maybe tubed silage is way to go???
