I just recently learned this by chance. I started clearing trees and brush from my hunting area as soon as hunting season was over. I checked my trail cam and saw deer out in the middle of the day eating from those trees.

My property is covered with 70’ tall poplar. Been cutting at least 100 of them down every winter since 2016. Got some nice browse pockets now all connected by a deer trail.
