Feeding Giraffes and Rhinos at Zoo Miami!

I knew that feeding giraffes and rhinos was something I absolutely NEEDED to do the moment I found out Zoo Miami offered such experiences; the fact they did so for such an affordable price was just a bonus!
These definitely rank among the most amazing experiences of my life so far. Giraffes are obviously very large animals, but being eye-level with them gives you a chance to see how huge their heads are! I can't believe I was close enough to see up their nostrils, see the fine hairs on their snouts, and even see a cut on the nose of one of them. I was losing my mind when I reached out, lettuce in hand, and was greeted by this massive, foot-long, purple tongue. You should've seen the look on my face. It was so beyond surreal, and did not last nearly long enough; I could've spent hours with these animals.
The rhino was equally impressive. Her (it was a pregnant female) head was enormous, and her prehensile lip purposefully flopping to and fro was a strange but awesome sight to behold. (Aside: when she gives birth, she will become the first Indian rhino to do after being artificially inseminated!)
