Youre supposed to wear gloves when you handle them the oils and stuff on your skin can harm them... also never feed them store bought food especially chicken in case of salmonella infection and also its not as nutricious as insects and rodents.. its just a tip he is looking healthy enough to see you care about him but we always can do better for taking care of our beloved animals Many greetz from holland

I don't use chicken as a main source of food, but more like a treat. I offer him a variety of insects such as roaches and hornworms, an occasional hopper mouse, and powdered horned frog diet. Be aware that chicken and rodents can add too much fat to a pixie frog's diet, so it is important to feed these sparingly. I also powder all his food with vitamin supplements.

Correct. The best food for pixie frogs are fresh gut-loaded insects such as dubia roaches. Feeders such as rodents or chicks should be fed sparingly. The only reason why I used chicken breast is to show how I feed my frog and to show his feeding response.
