Heyyy! So you guys can totally feed the snake in the enclosure! You don’t have to move him! It stresses them out more and despite the advice it’s an old practice! I have 5 snakes and it won’t make them cage aggressive 😁

I had an Albino Burmese Python. You just feed Snax crickets until he’s big enough to get baby mouse’s. Crickets are fast so by the time he learns to hunt those… even a full grown mouse will be a snap. A snap for Snax! Cool stuff guys, good luck 👍🍀

I'm not overly knowledgeable on king snakes, but I do have 4 ball pythons, and generally, they don't need to go into a separate tank to eat. In fact, that can stress them more because they are being moved right after a meal. All I can suggest for now is, keeping that lil noodle in the same enclosure is better for him, and then leave him alone for 24-48 hours after eating to let him digest. I also have my light on a timer, as they need the circadian rythem the light provides, and is they're like BPs, a CHE is the best heat source, as there is no light and it can stay on all day and night, but you will need a thermostat to keep the enclosure at ideal temps for this kind of noodle 😊 I love Snacks already!!

My only advice after owning a snake myself. Don't freak out when it sheds and think there is a second snake in the tank 😂 As it gets bigger and you have to upgrade to bigger mice and live mice. Make sure you keep an extra eye out so the mouse does not bite your snake. You may need to intervene with a pencil or stick to keep the teeth from entering. Other than that, they are really fun to own if you're not afraid to feed them and cuddle with them 😅 Best of luck snacks is so cuteee! ❤

If you handle it often, it will be chill. It cannot recognize the snakes in your wall because they have no heat and don’t smell like snakes. Snacks is very cute. If they didn’t tell you to get a UV light, snakes need this available. Your snake would also love some substrate it can hide in like pear moss or the substrates at pet store. I use bark, not pine. My corn snakes loved to slither through it hidden.
@johnlombardo78164 ай бұрын
especially an albino, things gonna be chilly! def dont use aspen if it gets humid either, will kill em :/ unfortunately i was not told this when i had bought it originally and it basically killed 3 of 4 of my snakes smh.. dont trust the pet stores, thats the moral of the story!

I had snakes for years, I believe in feeding them in a different enclosure, otherwise they can start to equate anything entering the home ad a form of food. Thus allowing for what many herpers refer to as a "stupid human feeding error" to take place...as in theg bite you. Granted, they don't have fangs, buy they do have a mouth full of fish hook like teeth that can be very painful as they get bigger. One word of advice, snakes do not like it when they are picked up by the tail. Pick them up in their midsection gently, and pick them up slowly. When feeding frozen, it is usually good to thaw them under the heat lamp or warm water and then use tongs to hold them by the tail and simulate them being a live, it keeps their natural instincts going and can help get them into a feeding mood. Contrary to what many say, snakes make great pets, you don't have to feed them daily, you.clean their enclosure only when needed and you just need to make sure they have fresh water and a heating lamp set on a timer to simulate.bight and day. Never use heating rocks or the like, just use ambient heat like from a light. Good luck with Snacks, awesome name btw!

@novarockafeller awwww your little worm is so cute, and tell Tom to man up you don't hold a baby like that even a snake baby :p okay first tip for snake terrariums remove that crap from the floor that can actually hurt your snake, it's best to use a Linoleum flooring and use a heat pad on the bottom in one area so he has a warm spot and a cold spot. But the wood or sand you'r snake can have a serious injury from that stuff. So for the floor use Linoleum it's easy to clean and very safe and extremely easy to install and if it gets too dirty you just throw it away and install a new one, then for the frozen rats and mouse, never use boiled water just use the hot water from the tap takes longer but you wont cook the mouse or rat by accident. Just feel the mouse or rat they should be soft and warm if they are soft and cold then just fill a bowl with hot tap water and wait a few minutes then feed your little snake. By the way did you name your worm, ours is named Ssyclopes ;) cause innocent girls are afraid of the one eye'd snake XD

You don’t need to move the snake to a different cage. That will only cause more stress and he won’t eat. You should also buy live pinky mice. They won’t hurt the snake. You can buy 2 at a time and feed every 5 days. Just little food for mouse and water. Easy. I had for several years a Mexican black king snake. When big enough you can feed them lizards that you can catch outside if you live in a place that has lizards. King snakes also feed on other snakes. Hence King snake. But yeah feed in the same tank the snake lives in. When hungry it will eat.

Had one of these for about 28 years, sometimes he didn't eat for about 3 months or more, so don't worry if he doesn't eat for a while, as long as they have clean drinking water, just offer a mouse every couple of weeks, another strange behaviour, now and again he would try to eat himself tail first! also they can shake their tale like a rattle snake

Okay here are some tips: 1) don’t move your snake right before you feed him into a new environment, especially one with no hide for him to hide in, he will feel scared and less likely to eat. Baby snakes like smaller spaces than larger snakes do because of ingrained survival instincts 2) don’t dip frozen mice in water because you’ll remove any scent from the mouse and the snake won’t know it’s food, instead put the mouse in either a plastic bag then into the water to defrost or into a container that sits in the water 3) make sure the water is TEPID not hot because a snake can easily burn their mouth on a mouse that’s too hot 4) don’t leave the dead mouse sitting in the tank, move it around until the snake strikes, if the shake doesn’t then remove the mouse and try again later, if the snake still won’t eat, try braining the mouse, if still won’t eat, leave it a few days and try again 5) don’t handle your snake for at least 48-72 hours after eating as you risk upsetting them and they could vomit up their food. If you need any more tips let me know

The small tank wasn't up to temp or humidity preference and new location and no hiding spots, might be why he was freaking out. Might need more humidity in the large tank too if the suction cups lost their suction. I've never had snakes but seems as easy as my cannabis plants 😂🙏🍀🇺🇸
