Cricket box 🤣🤣🤣 I love feeding the fish it’s so therapeutic (I don’t get in though). I knew the temperature of the water was important before feeding starts but I didn’t realise the fish food temperature was also. I just love feeding them

Hello. Great video. What should I feed an eel, 2 golden orfe and 3 tench? Also how do I make tench come up to the surface? Thank you

Good question!, you have a number of different requirements. Some small mouth Eels will eat pellets if they have large mouth they will eat live fish (not great for a garden pond) and tench prefer to eat of the base in rocks or mud. The only time I have seen tench feed off the surface is when there is a problem with the diet. If you have bare liner (rubber or fibreglass) and the base is clean (sterile) they don’t have a choice. This however is not ideal.

Hello a couple of months ago I bought a small packet of freeze dried blood worms for my pond goldfish as a treat now and then recently noticed that I have been getting live worms in my filter. Is there any way that it could be related? I’m not overly worried as when I clean the filter I throw the worms in and they gobble them up. It’s not infested just 4 or 5 each time.

No it’s not related, midge flies lay eggs on the pond surface and that causes the little blood worms.

Great free source of fish food, it always amazes me when I find garden worms in pond filters. They are processing the waste, if you have a lot then it is a warning sign the organic load might be high.
