Feeding Testudo

I thought I'd make a video giving people ideas of what they can feed their Testudo genus tortoises. Tortoises in this genus would include Hermann's, Greek, Marginated, and Egyptian tortoises but the items fed in this video could certainly be fed to your Russian, sulcata, and leopard tortoises as well. This video takes you through individual feedings over a few weeks. The key to feeding properly is two-fold - feed a large variety of foods and feed the right kind of foods. Don't just stick to only romaine or Mazuri. Even those types of foods make it easier for us keepers, it's not good for the tortoises to just stick to a few things. I give specific examples of what types you can feed but this video does not cover it all. There are hundreds of different kinds of foods you can feed your Testudo type tortoise and with a little research, it's easy to figure out.

Hello oh I am was so pleased to see this wonderful video I have a Spur thigh I adopted him about five years ago I have never really know enough what to feed him on obviously I know the basics like broccoli carrots courgettes lettuce and so on So you can imagine when I saw this video I am just thrilled Please could you tell me where did you get the cactus ? I have a Greek tortoise and she's still pretty small, when will she get larger? Or even full size? This is our first tortoise and we love her. When you feed the weeds is there anything that we should avoid? I have those prickly plants in my yard and I'd worry about it for our tortoise. I really appreciate your video

I have a 6 month old western hermann's and he always turns his nose up at Mizuri feed. He only ever wants to eat the fresh produce.
