I wasn't too crazy about Dijonay in the original series either, but as it progressed I began to understand. Her parents kept having kids and peddled off the responcibility on her, the eldest child, selfishness begat selfishness. All the characters in the show are flawed in there own way. Not justifying Dijonay, just something I'm noticing more and more as this show went on.

She initially acknowledges, then seconds later forgets and asks Penny to explain again. That’s how quickly she forgets things. Even if she weren’t a bad friend, her laziness and forgetfulness makes her very unreliable.
