Hi Sarah! I just found your channel yesterday and let me tell you, it is so refreshing to watch a KZbinr that is so open and honest about the reality of living with chronic illness. Keep on pressing on! I unfortunately also have EDS and many other chronic illnesses that stem from it. My GI system has the most issues. I had GJ tube surgery coming up on 8 weeks ago. Before that I had about 40 NG and NJ tubes for almost 2 years. I’m so proud of you for all that you have pushed through! Thank you again for being open to sharing the reality and not glamorizing feeding tubes. Yes, they are life saving and I’m very thankful for them because the have saved many lives including mine, but they are definitely a lot to keep up with. Keep on doing what you’re doing, girl!! I’m rooting for you❤

Oh my gosh! You’re so sweet! Thank you!!💚 It’s so important to me to not glamorize feeding tubes and my other health issues on social media. I just see a lot of people making it look different than it really is. Feeding tubes are tricky, sometimes painful, gross, they leak and you can get granulation tissue or other (sometimes severe) complications. It’s not as easy as it seems on social media. For me, I still have issues with my feeding tube like nausea, vomiting, bloating, and other issues. It didn’t take it away once I got my G-J tube. It greatly improved those symptoms for sure, but it didn’t “cure” me. I think some people get the wrong idea on social media, and I want to show more of the reality that comes along with feeding tubes as much as I can. I’m so sorry that you have similar issues to mine but it’s also good to know we are not alone, if that makes sense. I hope that your GJ is working well for you!
