Joey's got real character in her tone, and it suits this arrangement beautifully - some of the other PMJ performances of this with other singers just don't seem to have the same "Wow!" factor, except for the one with Sara Niemitz leading off as the middle singer (but then, I love everything that girl does!)

I love all of this. The girl on the right has a very clean and lively voice, the one in the middle achieves a unique sound and sounds relaxed and nice, and the one on the left is amazing because she brings darker tones and smooth agility to the mix.

This is truly exceptional! Putting a doo wop theme on this song was genius. The great backup band, tight harmonies, beautiful choreography, great voices (especially the blond's haunting voice) and that indescribable fun factor. So much talent! It instantly put me in 1961. And I love the stand up bass! One of the best covers of any song I have ever heard. Thanks for posting this gem.

The choreography was so good! Remember, girl groups in the earlier '60s wore matching outfits and these green dresses with the ugly bow at the collar are classic. Such fun and because of this, one found out about Portugal The Man.

I'm an old school hard rocker (emphasis on old), but I dig this. Of course the singers are talented and beautiful, but the way they let their distinctive styles individually shine is captivating. The band is tight and understated, with the precision of the rhythm section, the crisp clean guitar sound and the deceivingly easy piano boogie. Perfection!

Reminds me of that line in Hotel California. "We haven't had that spirit here since 1969." That song came out in '77. That's less than ten years. It doesn't have nearly the implied isolation it does now. That line, appropriately enough, gets spookier with age.

Just wow! The thing I love the most is that they are all having a blast and just nailed it. Each and everyone is simply amazing. I watched it 10 times focusing on each person and I'm just so impressed. Awesome sound revival and mad props to that incredible slick piano work that just weaves it all together like magic, bass hitting oh so perfect, guitar and drum maddeningly spot on and the girls silky and sassy vocals are stunning. The choreography and stage set is so precisely simple and classic. 10's all around!

Wow! I can’t think of another performance by 3 women where each has such a strong, interesting voice. Any one of them alone would be a delight - together they knock my socks off.

It's good to see a new generation, not replacing, supplanting, or distorting what is already a great brand and style. I hope they are adequately supported in their aspirations and that the current generation is recompensed adequately for all of their exemplary achievements. More please, please madam, gentleman, may we have some more of PJ?

Perfection in every detail! This time (I've watched this a bunch of times) I noticed that whoever is singing lead usually does a different dance than the other two, but then perfectly falls back in unison when her part is over. How cool!
