Feel Us Shaking Red Rocks The Samples

I got the honor of playing 12 string on "Feel Us Shaking" with The Samples at Red Rocks on 7/4/2017. A true dream come true! Thanks to Sean Kelly, Randy Hetherington, Andy Bercaw, Trevor Huster and Scott Davies, as well as Josh Drazin!!

Was at CSU from 1990 to late 1995, and saw Samples once. Had girlfriend in late 1992 who was a big fan and introduced me to the band. Since that time, I have been hooked. I give her credit for this, and she was a huge dolphin fan. MRM, 07/04/1975 (I think that is the correct bday)

saw em' at the Rhythm Room in Dallas in 1991? Sean had that cool ass guitar with digital stuff buiilt onto it by him. Dude! Bring back the Samples!!!!!

It was a Casio PG-380. Ibanez body, Casio electronics. Cool ass guitar. Made from 1987-91. Will can correct me since he knows best but I've had one since 2003.

The last few times I’ve seen the Samples has been a huge disappointment. Sean is absolutely shit housed, hammered by the second or third song. I’m glad I got to be a part of their hey day, traveling within a five state region to be at their concerts. Mishawaka…. unbelievable. Come on back to us Sean before it’s too late! I want to take my two teenagers to hear you sing!

Sadly I have to agree. They were such an important part of my life's equation, including my beautiful late wife (who didn't know them) surprising me with a trip to their reunion in Colorado (maybe around this time period?). Sean forgot many words to his own songs but the audience filled in. The persistent pain of losing my angel to the forces of addiction is indescribable, and I can only hope and pray it doesn't claim others (we love you Sean!). I hope you have a wonderful opportunity to share this meaningful part of you with them.

I’m sorry, but without the sounds of Al and Jeep, these guys shouldn’t be calling themselves The Samples anymore. I mean, sure, it’s up to Sean what he wants to call the band, but to me this isn’t The Samples.
