Why can't people just appreciate the fact that Greta Van Fleet is the closest thing to rock and roll we have in this generation? I mean do you even see a freaking drum solo anywhere else? Criticizing modern music cause of its repetitive melody and chord progression and when bands come up to bring back the music of the 70's-80's you say they are a rip off? Learn to appreciate

Do you know how many years I have been waiting for another band to come along that has what these guys have? I have been a classic rock fan for 54 years. I have all of the usual favorites. I have stayed loyal to all of my favorite bands, and sometimes won't even think about allowing another band to enter into my mind. For a very long time I had specific criteria that any band had to meet. My number one restriction was that if your band didn't form by 1973, I don't want to listen to you. Greta Van Fleet has what I require to be in my mind, and meets all my criteria. I love that these young dudes have come along and broken into the music scene with every necessary tool to do the job. Talent... Chops... And appeal. I am a fan. Thank you Greta Van Fleet. You may take the torch of Rock'n'roll... And continue on your journey... And allways be true to yourselves... Allways true to the spirit... Allways be true to all. Rock'n'roll will never die. Long live rock!

Extraordinary. These boys are prodigies, IMHO. The musical skill they wield, and the surprising maturity and depth of their songs makes GVF stand very far, away and above most "music" out there today. And for us who are older, GVF is a wonderful journey back to the days when blues-based rock ruled. Yes, I vividly recall songs like Deep Purple's "Child in Time" and Cream's "Strange Brew"", or perhaps even Steppenwolf's "Magic Carpet Ride" and 10 Years After's "I'd Love to Change the World." Just one riff, one verse, one drum kick, one guitar solo (Stairway to Heaven or Hotel California anyone?) could touch and shake our souls in awesome, wild and unpredictable ways. And these Michigan brothers are bringing it all back... a great thing for the younger generation who did not have the privilege of growing up with Led Zeppelin, Cream, Deep Purple, the Yardbirds, Jefferson Airplane, Jimmi Hendrix, Joplin, The Doors, Santana, Canned Heat and all of the legendary groups of that time. Who can forget Spinal Tap's legendary album "Smell the Glove" right? At any rate, GVF is making it possible for us to remember what real rock was and, hopefully, many young ones will jump on the bandwagon. You see, when Led Zeppelin began to play together, they were like a distortion of nature; a violent, in your face, sonic hurricane of rock that freaked people out. Many just didn't know how to process what they were seeing and hearing. Search for Led Zeppelin's 1970 concert at the Royal Albert Hall and you'll see what I mean. The few shots you catch of the crowd show a bunch of people sitting there with their mouths wide open, stunned and speechless and the spectacle they were beholding. Now, to be sure, GVF are still incredibly young, so it is exciting to anticipate where the creative road will lead them. I only pray and hope that fame and/or addiction doesn't destroy them like it happened to so many others. Hell yeah, this blues-based rock revival was way, waaay overdue for me. For years I'd spend hours previewing song after song after song... band after band after band. Of course, there was always good stuff there, but it just didn't "reach me." I was not stunned and left drooling and gasping for air. It wasn't sweet, mystical, wild and exciting. Classic case in point: Some of you guys may remember Janis Joplin's band, Big Brother and the Holding Company. Oh man if you haven't heard them, I urge you to drop everything and run to your phone to take a listen. They were so fierce that even the producer of one of the albums thought it was too hard and uncontrollable. so much so that he removed his name from the album credits. LOL Wait a minute? Rock being hard, intense, unpredictable and uncontrollable... isn't that the whole fu$%#@g point? I dare you to look up Big Brother and the Holding Company and take a good listen. Specifically, check out the song Ball and Chain. Between Janis' otherworldly passion and singing and the "acid blues" the band dished out, I'm surprised anyone walked away from that concert in one piece. To compare GVF to Zeppelin or other classic rock greats is premature and unfair. They are way too young to be put in any box. Furthermore, they are unique individuals with their own path to trace. Let's allow them to breathe openly, wide, deep, far and long and see what comes out. If their past music is any indication, then I am very optimistic that we will get to see and hear some amazing rock and roll. Yes, GVFs music is exciting, classic and raw. If they stick to their guns, refuse to sell out to anyone and continue to pump out songs like these, we are in for one hell of a ride. At 55 years of age, I'll take all of the musical thrills I can get. And with all of the crazy things going on in this world, GVF is giving many of us a very much needed musical oasis. Indeed, these guys are definitely poised to becoming a force to reckon with for many years to come. Enough yappin'... :-) LOL :-) David 😎🎸

This is honestly some of the best bass playing I've heard from GVF. The tone is great too.

Yes, I'm guilty of reading all the unkind comparisons bestowed on these guys, But after watching this concert I'm a changed man, It's been awhile since I've had a band blow me away like this, from start to finish I was grinning the whole time. Consider me a new fan I loved every minute of getting my ass rocked off.

These acid trip visual effects look a helluva lot better in 4K. I haven't heard a band so amazing in forty years.

Ah the acid days. Fun times.I feel for the youth these days. We had shrooms, coccaine, acid, and thai stick. Sorry u guys got the stuff that kills your ass.

I saw them about 5 months before this show and I have to say that Jakes guitar playing just keeps evolving! He’s way more percussive in this show, hitting dead strings and giving more rhythm to the song!
