Hey Dan, just received my Lure 11.5v2 overdrive. Great video. Quite informative. Can you remove the Pedals off the axle and install different bike Pedals than the ones supplied and if so, what would the axel size be. Also how do you car top this kayak with the rudder installed. Your insight is greatly appreciated.

Yes you can cartop it, however it's not easy. It's a heavy beast! Yes you can swap pedals. They are all standard size.

Are you able to remove the overdrive completely and place a storage container there in case you take it out to shallow rivers/creeks where you would need to paddle? Basically removing the pedal drive and using it only when you need to or would you need to prop it out every time you go to shallow waters?

Two very different directions. You'll never regret learning in a Moken. It's a great all around kayak that is affordable to get into and holds it value really well.

Not as easy. You have two bolts to deal with to take the seat out, so its more work for sure.

Kinda wish they did the motor separate from the pedal drive , just adds alot more clunky material for users such as myself who have no interest in a motor in which they could have made the pedal more stream line and less clunky without the motor. I do like the yak though, nice video,

This kayak is not suitable for the sea and dosent track well and is very heavy to lift on a kayak single handed. Looks great for the lake but for chop is not good you will be blown every where.

@@HeadwatersKayak what surprised me was the weight. It is a great kayak, but only for the lakes. The damn salesman was constantly pushing me away from the Moken 12.5 v2 which is perfect for the sea to get a higher value sale. Kayak buying is full of traps and you can easily buy the wrong yak.
