Here S.p=9720 each article It means for 1st article gains 8/% 108%=9720 100%=x X=9720×100/108 X=9000(cost price ) Similarly for second article loss 10% 90%=9720 100%=x X=9720×100/90 X=10800(cost price of the 2nd article) Total cost price of 2 articals =9000+10800 =19800 Total selling price is =9720+9720=19440 Here c.p is more than the s.p so we get loss Loss =c.p -sp Loss=19800-19440 Loss=360 Loss%=c.p-s.p/c.p×100 Loss%=360/19800×100(c.p-s.p=360) Loss%=1.82%

For everyone... Those who are confused with neither profit nor loss. You shouldn't add oe sub with 100. You should directly put 15x/100 = (2160-x) × 9/100 then you will get 810 and 1350 as Anwer.

Neither profit nor loss so you should not add 100+15 . Directly you should put 15/100

Both are not on the same side but equality sign is between them... If 100 which is in division is taken to other side of equality it will be multipled and cancelled

Ans X = C.P 1 (2160 - X) = C.P 2 Since the selling price of fans neither gains nor losses in transaction SP = CP X × 115/100 + (2160 - X) × 91/100 = 2160 24 X + 2160 × 91 = 2160 × 100 24 X = 2160 × 100 - 2160 × 91 24 X = 2160 ( 100 - 91) X = 19440/24 = 810 X = 810 ( CP of fan 1 ) So , 2160 - 810 = 1350 ( CP of fan 2 )

​@@kesavanathb468 u can't understand because u have not studied percentage. Learn that first then come back. Btw we always take CP= 100% in percentage so when profit is 16% so it becomes 116%
