It's interesting I just came across this printout I made 20 years ago. "A human being is part of the whole called by us Universe, a part limited in time and space. We experience our thoughts, feelings and ourselves as something separate from the rest. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons close to us. "Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. "We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive ". Albert Einstein

@@DorinaMary sounds good but is totally against human nature. And nature does not obey the wishes or dreams of nature. Nature, at the end of the day will always win. And it wins, without exception in its intended way. Naturally.

Thanks for the very interesting discussion! In the history of spirituality we know about two strategies of the work with the suffering: stoic and buddistic. Stoics supposed the strategy of overcoming the suffering by means of separation the objective pain and subjective opinion about the pain that we designate as suffering. Every opinions depends on our worldview and will thats why we can change it and overcoming the suffering. According to buddists suffering is almost synonimous with the consciousness (for example, AI cann't suffer), and if you expand your consciousness you increase the deepness of your suffering.

I was introduced to you by someone who suddenly ghosted me, hurting me very deeply. Since he's been gone, I've reconciled that some people are meant to be in our lives for just a season. I am grateful he was in my life, if only for those few years, because he led me to your teachings, which have given me much to consider. Thank you, Rupert. ❤

@@scorpionsubzero9066 No, lol, not particularly. I'm of average height, weight, and appearance, with long bond hair and dark blue eyes. I am a Scorpio, in fact. I just like the oxymoronic combination of beautiful/gnome. Gnomes connote images of ugly, stout, very short--and sometimes hunchbacked--old creatures, but they symbolize a connection to nature (the four elements), protection, hard work, good luck, and wisdom--all beautiful qualities. Indeed, the etymology of "gnome" is from the Greek word "gignoskein" (to know) --> "gnosis" (knowledge of spiritual truth), a knowledge that I continue to seek.

@@beautifulgnome3519 morning gnome. That's nice. A lot of good qualities about gnomes. But that summarizes you or do you want to have those traits? By the way, I'm a Scorpio too, but for me astrology is just nonsense 😁, no offense

It's good and right to have compassion for those who are suffering but isn't it that which the questioner says can be overwhelming? I wonder however if we should not have compassion also for those who perpetrate the suffering, as a way of acknowledging the hate that we also carry - as an integral part of the condition of the finite self. Not as guilt but as way of maintaining humility and balance.

Through compassion, we experience unity. But often, we feel others' pain and difficulties as our own and empathize with them because it is a projection of our own unresolved pain onto others. Instead of focusing on our own unprocessed pain, we project it outward. In such cases, the soul attempts to process and unconsciously relive its own pain through compassion by replaying the pain again and again.

Save yourself first to learn about how to REALLY save, only then you can consider helping. People will do the reverse now knowing how to do it properly

In God's Name, the Exalted, the Highest, the Most Sublime, the Utterly Omnipotent! O God! I bear witness that You have created me to know You and to worship You and to praise You. Praise and glory to You! You are God! There is none other god but You. You are the King and Protector and Lord and Light and Creator and Ruler of the heavens and the earth and everything in them. All glory and majesty and greatness and honor and sovereignty and dominion and grace and awe and power belongs to You. O God, I prostrate down to You with my forehead and knees to the ground, and I give thanks to You for having made me know You, and I pray to You, as Your servant, wretched and poor, to forgive me for my sins. From You we came, and to You is our Certain Return! ------------- You can only save yourself, thus, ask and pray to God that He saves you, by forgiving your sins, so you don't poop up in some hell realm or some of that stuff, and may you not be of the disbelievers. God is Alive.

When the focus is only humans it becomes insane. All forms require compassion and respect, from tinniest to biggest. That is the only way. Ancient tribes knew that. Many do know that now. All beings deserve to live and thrive, plants, bugs, mammals and so on. So many beings we don’t even know yet :) 🩵

Yeah. That's what everybody should do. But that's the point. We CAN be not empathetic. 'Cause we are separated. We DO NOT feel what the other person feels. We CAN just turn away, we CAN just think of something other, or nothing at all, we CAN just not give a flying r@ts@ss about the other ones. And we can go further. Out of this capability of not feeling what the other feels, WE CAN even BLAME them. And we will take the "courage", we will dare to blame them. And that's why this universe must be d@str@y@d.

This sense of being, is being. Being is aware of all separate parts. Emotion, nor any other part of universal consciousness is free of suffering. I suggest reading, G.I. Gurdjief & his work on eliminating suffering.

With all due respect; not all large subscriptions is an indicator of doing well. Rupert has a solid amount of subscribers but unfortunately he has really meaningful content. His content of non-duality is going to draw large audiences. Society is domesticated to live in overstimulation. Going within is the exception not the norm.

@@Austination316 I simply disagreed with Rupert on consciousness. They didn’t like my responses. Because it exposed the weaknesses of their interpretation of this philosophy. If you are confident in what you preach, why fear the contrarian? The only reason I know of is people start liking the contrarian more than the expert teacher.
