3 things: 1. I thoroughly empathize with the sentiment of "everything I've ever done has been done in search of love or wanting to keep love." That's been my life as well (though of course it's different for a guy, but the sentiment is the same). 2. One of the greatest lessons I was ever taught was: You only absolutely HAVE to wake up next to one person every day of your life, and that's you. Make sure you like that person. That lesson has stopped a lot of second guessing in my life. I live my life true to my own values and desires and I hold myself to the highest standard regarding those values. As long as I live up to them, nothing anyone can say can ever hurt me. 3. The two statements above might seem mutually exclusive, but they're not. You can still want companionship, but enjoying spending time alone and liking yourself means you keep your personal integrity even when in a relationship and never lose yourself to any dangerous degree, and that's a great place to be.

@@ArtofFreeSpeech YES!!! At the end of the day the ONLY person we truly have is ourselves. Everything else is at the will of the external, so getting right with ourselves and connecting deeper with ourselves is really the main “point” of life in my eyes. Thanks so much for commenting 🥹🥹

I admire and envy you. You are a brave person to set forth on this journey. Keep going, keep recording, keep digging. Btw, I think your "externalizing" yourself -- thinking of yourself as your friend -- is brilliant and, if that is a construct you can healthfully continue, do it. I was 50 something and in therapy and one day almost literally saw the 7 year old boy I had been, and my sense of compassion -- because it was "another" -- was profound. So why not for me? Why not for you? Learn to build love within you, like a force, and then unleash it on yourself -- and on the world. Don't even worry about "finding" it -- simply focus on creating it. I promise you, you will reap it in spades. As the Beatles said, "In the end, the love you make it equal to the love you take." Truer words, girl. I'm an old guy now, single dad of a 30-something young woman who is better than I am. You can so do this. Be brave, be you. :)

I am not sure why this popped up on my feed. I think there is a reason for it. You mention that you're searching for love. Well, let me tell you there is no one in the world who will love you as much as Jesus Christ. I have experienced Gods love in my life, and let me tell you there is no one as amazing as God. He is so loving and understanding. Talk to Him. Give Him your heart. You won't regret it. He is so amazing, and He desires us to have a relationship with Him.

@bridgetkealy Why did you decide to move away from Christianity if you don't me asking? You also mentioned you are spiritual. Do you believe in something else?
