Fun for me to watch... I hit this lake ALOT... as well as its northern "twin", and also down the road from here as well.

Welcome back James! Last fish I caught just north of first spot was a little 12” bass on a black and orange mepps. Saw him slurp it up right by the bank. I’m going crazy with freshwater, dying for some salt... been hearing input from some guys that surf cast the rocky beaches and jetties for spring togs. Maybe even early stripers due to the mild weather.

Yeah I'm over freshwater, I'm ready for some salt haha. I think we're definitely going to have a earlier season for stripers with this mild winter🤞

James Schlick Outdoors yeah I’ve been hearing bunker pods have gotten in early by me in Western Nassau. I’m almost tempted to throw a tin there. Schoolies busting up by the south shore in Suffolk apparently. Man this freshwater was tough, I was happy even with a little bluegill. But it’s time to move along! 🤞🏼

I’ve tried a few ponds and lakes in LI, but haven’t found any crappie yet. Mind saying where you got into them in that video? Great content. Appreciate it

The spot around 8 min mark is my absolute fav place. Especially earlier in the summer. Spinners and senkos are the best. Frogs work well against the back

I think you're fishing in my spot! Lol I don't think they stock that one (the first lake) with trout. The other one they do...

Nothing like catching multi species on ultra light gear. Wow, in the last 15 years... I have had no one ask me for fishing license. Nice pickerel and crappies catches, Brother! 🎣👊🏼

I also heard the schoolies a showing up on the south shore of Long Island

I've watched alot of your videos and never seen anyone in a fishing kayak or jon boat. Is that permitted in the lakes and ponds on Long Island? I'm in Nassau and looking to get into some fresh water. I'm primarily bay fishing.
@jamesschlickoutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Some lakes on the island allow kayaks and boats. You can see the list of lakes here which ones allow boats/kayaks: www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7951.html In my videos you don't see many boats or kayaks because i do a lot of freshwater fishing during the winter months so not a lot of people take their boats/kayaks out.

What pond is that? I hit up argyle and southards pond the past 2 days with no luck

I thought with everything going on , they weren't going to worry about the license. Since most places to renew are closed down.

James Schlick Outdoors I’m in Holbrook. This is a good spot your at. And not being in Florida lately is the smartest thing. It’s Crazy the difference a month or two can make.
