Thank you Radek for another outstanding video! I discovered you recently and was absolutely wowed by your Greek Videos. For example, your Santorini video is still the most comprehensive single video on KZbin for this location. Same for Mykonos. I remember being floored since you are the first person to actually show all of Mykonos town, including the whole rear part up the steps. I didn't think you'd go there with your heavy gimbal but you did. Hats off to you! Before I found your channel, only Robert Polasek's channel "Touch of Greece" gave so much care and visual justice to a Mediterranean island (he is another excellent KZbinr I greatly respect and highly recommend his channel, which mainly specializes in the Greek islands that few others explore). You both are exemplary and in a league of your own. There is so much I can praise you for, I don't know where to begin. For starters, thank you for not cheapening out by using just a cell phone. You are one of the few who obviously use a real camera and gimbal, using actual 4k (not the fake 4k everywhere on youtube that looks like it is shot with a potato). It makes all the difference on a larger screen. You always have thoughtful, balanced pacing and your editing always matches the music's tempo. You also don't use any awful trendy hyperactive editing effects, letting the shot breathe and speak for itself. You have beautiful slow pans, very natural. And thank you for labeling places (for example a beach's or town's name etc) when the location on the screen changes. This is huge and so important to know where we are. I know how much work all this extra quality requires. Thank you for being one of the few who value this quality. Believe me when I say it is very appreciated and noticed. P.S. I want to see your channel become huge! So, please allow me to be so bold as to make a suggestion on how to make your channel even more successful. Your content is top-notch but your channel name "Radek7001" is not the easiest to remember or share. I remember recently praising your channel to a friend and when he asked me what it was called, I drew a blank. I was thrown off by the numbers. I think I speak for many when I say having a lot of numbers in a channel name makes it feel less professional and easier to dismiss. So maybe drop the numbers and simplify it to be very easy to remember for everyone (since everyone is stupid, myself especially) ...something like "Radek's World/Rad's World" etc. Lots of love brother and keep up the great work!

Thank you for this extensive and extremely valuable comment for me. Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos and wanting to help me reach more people. ❤️ I agree with you on the name. I've thought about it many times. I see that you know your stuff and I feel that your suggestions are on point. It's true, high quality means a lot of sacrifices. Human capabilities are limited, especially on long day trips. My backpack is very heavy, but as long as I have enough strength and my spine is still strong, I will not give up this passion. However, I am constantly following the market and looking for a compromise between weight and quality, because with this weight, every 100 g makes a clear difference. When I started this channel, I wanted to use my two greatest passions, traveling and filming, so that the memory of these places would last as long as possible. So that I could sometimes come back to these beautiful moments that were the fulfillment of my dreams and show them to my loved ones. However, over time, the channel has grown a bit and there are viewers like you who appreciate my work. Perhaps it's time to make the changes as you suggest. I hope that someday the time will come when I will be able to fully engage in this work. If you don't mind, I'd love to hear some of your advice.

I appreciate your story and your passion. I think I am not the only one :) Good luck trying to find the lightest camera kit. Light and professional rarely go together haha. I know it's very tempting to use what most people on youtube use (iPhone or DJI Pocket), but I've yet to see any iPhone (Pro Max 14 or not) or DJI pocket produce anything close to the results of a real camera. On a large screen, their images still look mediocre at best. I'm a stickler for professional image quality but that's just me (I spent many years in NYC working on photo shoots). I don't know what camera you are using but the image is unusually nice, much better than the vast majority. Is it a micro 4/3 camera? If you ever do decide you want a new camera setup (for the lightest gear with the best image quality that won't break the bank), the new Lumix S5 II is currently the holy grail since it is not only fairly light (the body is 1.6 lbs with battery), but very powerful (full frame gorgeous 6K and now has great autofocus!), and amazingly affordable for all it does. You could use with this the Lumix 24-105 F4 zoom (1.5 lbs, weather-sealed and image stabilized) as your only lens in your travel bag and be done! Or if you need an even lighter lens with better low-light capacity, the Sigma 28-70 F2.8. Only 1 lb (but not designed for rainy weather and not image stabilized). Lumix produces amazing video images for the price, a no-brainer. Two small random pieces of advice I can give that are very easy to do: capitalize the entire top-line text in your video titles. So write "MYKONOS" instead of "Mykonos." It's just much easier to read and looks more like a special event. Also, for your beach videoes, if you want your beach water to look its best, always shoot at (or close to) around noon so the sun directly above gives the water maximum color and beauty. Once the sun is at a lower angle later in the day, the water is hard to see...so not the best for beaches. Overall though, you do not need my advice. You are doing better than most and you just have to trust your heart and eye. All the best my friend!

@@mr.k5865 Thank you very much for all these advices. I will definitely use them. Considering cameras, the Lumix series both full frame and micro 4/3 are well known to me and I know about their advantages even if the autofocus is still not as good as in Sony or Canon. As you know for sure, when you traveling in some situations it is not possible to use a camera with a gimbal. Often you have to be very mobile and many situations happen spontaneously. You have to choose to use more mobile equipment or none at all. Thanks again for taking your time on all these comments. All the best.

@@Radek7001 I'm so glad to hear! Your work is always an inspiration and I hope to see your channel flourish! PS The video autofocus used to be bad for Lumix but the new Lumix S5 mark II now uses hybrid phase-detect autofocus, so it's now excellent and a real game changer. If video autofocus is critical for you, Sony still has the absolute best but this is finally pretty damn close, not to mention Lumix has far better image quality for the price range. I personally almost never shoot video with autofocus but it's great to have, especially for walking shots where you cannot use a lot of gear. I agree 100%, you cannot always use a gimbal, however, I recommended the S5 II since it now also has the very best image stabilization available for such a small camera...so when added to a stabilized lens, you can very closely mimic some gimbal shots (obviously not all) with practice. And if you shoot with the full 6k it offers, in post-production you can remove shaking even further with plenty of screen space to crop into (which the stabilization effect requires). It goes without saying I'd recommend always shooting in a full 5 or 6k anyway since even if it will be downsampled to 4k for youtube, it will retain lots more of the details and look all-around way better (especially noticeable on a larger screen). Not to mention the larger resolution allows you more options to crop for better compositions and the sparkling image detail will help futureproof all your hard work. Always aim for the highest quality that your time, hardware, and budget allow. It's sometimes a huge pain in the butt but I've never looked back on a work and regretted trying my best...only when I cut corners. I think you will agree. So this is why I say you'd be hard-pressed to find a smaller, cheaper pro video kit anywhere - just one camera and one lens! If you want to geek-out on all the specs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIrIk517nMtmgJI . Anyway, that's my best advice for your question about a fantastic lighter kit for a professional travel videographer. Hope this helps. Have a great week Radek!

@@mr.k5865 Thank you very much for all this information. I've been looking at the S5 and S1H for a long time. Yes, Panasonic is the best choice for me at the moment. The only thing holding me back is my fears for the future. As you know, buying good full frame lenses is a big investment. Seeing how Sony is developing I do not know if I will not have to make a change in the future. I would like to wait a little longer and see what new Panasonic will introduce because I heard that they are going to do it soon. My camera, as you can see, still produces a good image, so I don't have to hurry very much. 🙂 All the best 🖐

@@sunkissedfamily7545 Hi. It depends on what you are looking for. In my opinion Dhigurah island is the most beautiful and has everything that people usually look for in the Maldives. If you really like peace and quiet, Fehendhoo will be a good choice. In a few days I will publish a movie about Dhigurah to my YT channel. You will also be able to see this entire island.
