I noticed that most of those women didn’t work for rescue companies they are all engine companies, which is probably a good thing, I really can’t see one of these women who are probably 150 pounds in full turnout gear with a tank going into a fire and carrying out a 200+ pound male firefighter who is also in full gear, sorry if I ruined the video for anyone, still I’m not hating on their abilities because they can drive a rig better than me especially in a horrible traffic ridden city like San Francisco

loganbaileysfunwithtrains Actually some of our best Rescue Firefighters are women, not to mention the truck and engine women firefighters. 144,000 calls a year and we have an excellent save rate. 2019 is not the time for these types of comments, I am sure your agency would agree.

San Francisco Fire Department PIO I’m not with any agency and I also just made a observation, I only said because of their stature they probably have a hard time carrying someone heavier than they are which is a problem both men and women have because if someone is bigger than you then obviously you are going to have a harder time trying to help them, and like I said I’m not hating on their abilities to fight fires and drive trucks which is just as maybe even more important than rescue
