It's such bs I think mastery should increase any chaos damage dealt no matter it's source . It shouldn't boil down to if the ability is part of a specific list that most players don't even know exist

Its actually mind boggling. At first I was just like... Why can't they have a spell school conversion mod on AMN, and the dmg mod on Mastery stat. Would make the most sense. But then you realize AMN needs to have its own dmg modifier effects because it's only a portion conversion - not 100% So AMN has 3 modifiers - spell school conversion mod, dmg mod, periodic dmg mod. SOMEHOW Demonsurge and Burning Blades were added to the spell school mod but... just not added to the other modifier effects. The important ones. I'm not a dev so I don't want to criticize too much. But I don't understand how something like that is missed. Assumedly they go into the spell data, see the list of allowlist modifiers and choose to only adjust the 1?

Back in legion we had a talent called chaos cleave which would make chaos strike cleave chaos damage for aoe damage. The talent stated that it would cause chaos damage and the combat log read as doing chaos damage but for the entirety of that talent's life until it was removed from the game it acted as physical damage. It made it so it did not benefit from our mastery at all, chaos brand and also was reduced by enemy armor regardless of what the combat log stated. Hopefully these hero talents actually get fixed and don't end up in the same boat of neglect.

It's really good having guys like you and Topple doing to work and feeding this back to Blizz. I hope they can get this right, because Fel-Scarred is really making me look forward to playing DH in TWW. The ideas seem solid, they just need to fix the math.

aldrachi reaver needs a complete rework and I hope they get it.

Imagine if rogue combo points didn't have a UI element to track them and rogues had to look around and go pick up their combo points to use them. That still isn't as bad as aldrachi reaver is.

My hope is that they haven't updated the reaver tree because they're reworking it. It seemed like almost everyone disliked it, but were just thinking "at least it's not oracle" at the time.

I like the reaver tree. Just the 25% attack speed for 5 seconds needs a change.

I'm starting to like the idea behind Fel Scarred, it'll probly make nomovers really strong again As for Aldrachi Reaver, I'm seriously praying for a rework, it felt so underwhelming and it did not gave us what we want (looking at you 2p and 4p tier set effects), and rather just increased one more layer of complexity for bursting windows. Which we already had (2-3 layers) beforehand.

At least it sounds like this is not working as intended and can still be fixed. There is hope if Blizzard gets their act together. My Frost DK’s new class tree, well that just makes me hopeless. I still have hope that my DH will be fun to play for the new expansion.

Definitely can be fixed! It's just more of a concern that our entire class is held together by duct tape behind the scenes
