As a little one then, there was no Fela's song I didn't have. My brothers and my mum made me to love his songs. I listened to it and it made so much meaning. When he died, I begged to be taken to his funeral and which was granted. I could still remember the white T- shirt people wore, I saw musicians that came, and everybody chanting, Fela never die ooo ... Fela is alive

I really like this beautiful woman for her sincerity answering those questions in the best she could. I was startled beyond words & extremely glad the day I saw the picture of FELA on an electronic bill board in TIME SQUARE Manhattan N.Y in 2009 or so, when celebrating FELABURATION. FELA IS AN ICON, A GIANT, AN ACTIVIST & so many CAPs. God bless his family, RIP ABAMI EDA

Fela was one Nigerian whom Nigerians will never forget, both born and unborn generations. Fela was! Fearless Resilient Outspoken Humane Open Honest Straightforward If Fela were alive today, Nigeria probably wouldn't have been in these unspeakable situations. He was like a Nationwide Newspaper exposing bad leadership, tribalism, and corruption in government for innocent Nigerians who never knew what was going on in the Nigerian leadership setting. Fela is the only African musician celebrated worldwide even in death. He was a Real Man! Fela will always be in the category of Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, and Micheal Jackson. - Chika Njoku

For me, The Legendary Abami Eda died a fulfilled Man as regards his personal accomplishments in life as a human being with ambitions but he definitely did not die a happy man given to the fact that as a human right activist, A Pan African, A Great Man and A Patriotic Nigerian leader who wants the best for his country and as such for his people who he passionately defended and fought for their welfare and collective interests are yet to live in the type of country he fought for and enjoy the best standard of living he wants for them in a society where equity, justice, fairness and freedom reign supreme.Including, the respect of fundamental human rights, due process and rule of law. Ironically, the corruption, authority stealing, executive rascality, bad governance and generally the societal ills and decadence he fought and sang against has been more entrenched than eradication with utter hopelessness for the future of oppressed Nigerians and the youth's. It's also worthy of note that almost all the societal decadence he sang against are still in existence and even more pronounced now than before.. Based on these facts One can't be that faulty to say he did not die a happy man but rather he died a fulfilled Man. .FELA LIVES ON in the minds and hearts of all Men and Women of goodwill across the globe.. Rest on Great Spirit.

An Icon, a Legend and ahead of his time, YES. Only One FELA in this world, RESPECT!!! but his personal lifestyle left a lot to be desired and probably would not have been the best environment for children to grow up. People having opinions here about Fela as a FATHER should KEEP QUIET!. If you are not one of Fela's children then you were not on the "INSIDE" Yeni Kuti, our beautiful sister, has spoken her truth and I respect it.

I don't think Nigeria needs another Fela, one man cannot successfully spearhead a movement for change in this country. It has to be hydra-headed. Change can only come from building institutions like Tinubu has done. That man may be disliked but he is a genius. He was just a senator in 1993. Even ran away from the country for fear of persecution by Abacha. Then he returned and institutionalised the system. Placed people in powerful positions and pulled that weight to become president. That's exactly what Nigeria needs. One man cannot do it. It is the work of many men with same vision.

My friend African wisdom will tell you that its not from your mouth outsiders will hear that your fathers underwear is torn. Some things should be said within family gathering not on social media. Wheather he was a good father or not it shouldn't come your mouth, protect your fathers image. Let people think or say whatever they want to say. Saying this online, what do you want these online people to do? Can they change what has happened in your family secretly? Apply wisdom. Such a shame.

I never met Fela Kuti but I believe he was a good father. Did Fela physically abuse you while you were growing up? Fela gave Femi the opportunity to challenge him if insult were thrown. I do not wish for Fela to be my father, however the impact he had on Seun Kuti's makes me wanna be a good father. I will become a father who does not physically abuse and emotionally abuse his children. I cannot become a perfect father and I will not always say yes to my children's request.

The children of the father said he wasn't.. you don't have to physically abuse anyone to not be good to them.... A good father would not be intimidating, someone they feared ( I know in this part of the world to equate fear to respect)... Any man that the children are scared of should retreat and find a better way to be a better Father... I have the best father who wouldn't abuse you emotionally and physically too....
