I've always thought that Felicity and Oliver were a great pairing and I have to say I'm super disappointed in the 'fanservice' this show has succumbed to. I mean, as a fan, I'd love to see a pairing that has great chemistry and is awkward, fun and kinda different than those 101 soap opera tragedies. But the writers just kinda ruined them for me. They completely butchered their chemistry and their playful banter. I can honestly say at this point that I've read fanfiction that did a better job at portraying the two and kept them way more in character than the actual show did.

I think your missing the point here. I'm not saying I don't want her/ her relationship to Oliver to change, because obviously that is not going to work out. I'm saying that I think the show could have done a better job developing her character and redefining her relationship with O. But that's just my personal opinion. The direction they are taking with the show does not appeal to me anymore. Also there are a million different ways they could have played this out and I personally feel like they took the easy road making her into an overly whining, jealous, bitter person that can't decide what she wants and is now stuck in love triangle. Cliché much?
