About Felipe
Felipe Esparza is a comedian and actor, known for his stand-up specials, “They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You”, “Translate This”, and his latest dual-release on Netflix, “Bad Decisions/Malas Decisiones” (2 different performances in two languages), his recurring appearances on Netflix’s “Gentefied”, NBC’s “Superstore” and Adultswim’s “The Eric Andre Show”, as well as winning “Last Comic Standing” (2010), and his popular podcast called “What’s Up Fool?”. Felipe is also developing a sitcom along with actor Omar Chaparro, producer Eric Tannenbaum and 3Pas (Eugenio Derbez’ production company). Felipe continues to sell out live stand-up shows in comedy clubs and theaters around the country.

Angel Salazar......I saved his life when I was LAPD (early 90's). He was getting tacos at Sunset Bl/Alvaardo (there was a hole in the wall fast food joint at a car wash). I saw Angel with a date and he was surrounded by bangers with his hands up. We pulled in the parking lot, and the suspects ran off. Angel, just said the suspects had just approached him and demanded his money when we piulled up. I don't think the suspects knew who he was. I saw Angel perform in Vegas at the old Stardust, Dude was a riot. He was cool people to meet and talk to. His line was, "Check it Out."

I went to my high school prom with Angel believe it or not. Estancia High school in Costa Mesa circa 1974. He had fled Cuba the year before with a friend and they both arrived at our school mid year. My family and I were probably the only other people in that entire school who spoke spanish at that time, and so we became friends. I still have that prom photo somewhere and perhaps he still has his. We were both given a copy. I haven't seen him since the late 70s when I ran into him at a club in L.A. just before they started filming Scar Face and he told me that he was going to be in a film about some "cuban gangsters". I had no idea it was that film until I saw him in it.

Hi character in Scarface was a true soldier. He never question and just did what he could, 100% to help his homie get it together. It actually, cost his character his life and the character psychy, he probably knew he'd die the way he did. He still rode with the homie.

@@redskywalker3374 Like I wrote, He knew it was going to happen eventually and he stayed... Anyone who had a homie that spiraled into doing a cup of their own dope into their nose all day everyday wouldve bailed or took they money and made another hustle life elsewhere. He stayed...
