Thank you so much for this score, which allows a better appreciation of the textures of this brilliant piece of music.

Thank you; it’s about time someone posted the entire incidental music. People underestimate the ability of orchestration Mendelssohn possessed. Yes, it was nowhere near the savant knowledge Berlioz possessed, but I’d argue that Mendelssohn’s use of the orchestra rivals even Rimsky-Korsakov at points.

Rimsky had far greater of an orchestral tone than Berlioz.

How mutable is the world ! Life is full of vicissitudes I am just intoxicated with Mendelssohn's this masterpiece Japanese Spring is in full swing . The while of Japan is covered with the faint scent and the color of light pink of cherry blossoms in full bloom . I am watching the cherry blossoms in full bloom while listening to this incomparable performance . From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵 The cherry blossoms are in full bloom everywhere ; on the banks of small and large rivers , in parks , on the hills , in private gardens and on the various streets .

11:38 I played the Scherzo once, and I'm flutist. The first time I played, I said wow lots of spiccato's and after finished the movement, I drank lots of water because i did not think it was so technic to play, but I love this movement then ;)

The overture is a important revolutionary breakthrough in orchestral writing by a 17 year old in the mid 1820's.

@@ethanbrowncomposer I hope you have lots of free time to compose I never had to work in my 20s and now I'm free again in my 40s. I went ahead and subscribed I figure you'll be posting originals or I'll see if you already have. I'm writing up a curriculum to teach composition here in TX to fund my studio sessions that I'll need, I cant stand regular work anymore it wastes too much time

Thanks for subscribing! I really do hope you get more time to compose because it’s becoming a lost art form. We need more classical composers than rap artists and pop stars. I hate regular work too. I can’t stand how much it wastes time! Anyways, good luck!

The violin overture and scherzo parts take a lot of work, but lots of fun once it's up to tempo.
