Yeah, he and his deep-ass voice had JUST turned 17 (intl. age) not long before when that clip with YG was filmed. He was actually 16 when he moved there and was chosen by Chan. (He was there more than the 2 months he said, but messed up when he was trying to tell YG he got there in February--the "second" month)

He learnt so much in 2 months and yg had the audacity to say he should know more by now? Everyone learns languages at different paces. I also hate korean pronunciation. I understand it when I hear it, but I can't recreate the sounds.

I know this is off topic to the video but, there is this k pop KZbinr called ajanaevis. In one of her videos she said that skz ruined kpop, and she said they are bad at rapping, and I am pretty sure her vids aren't satire. Ajanaevis has a lot of hate for groups that aren't her favs especially skz.
