Every time I watch a video talking about Hex by Felix I think: this is what ultimate should look like! I am still hoping to find a date when I could attend a clinic. Anyway, this video is makes me want to go to Brighton just to play with you ;)

As a spectator of ultimate for the past seven years, I've changed how I view games. Could players have a few simple principles that serve to coordinate their movements? A flock of starlings is an example. A commentaror remarked a US club team has no hesitation in going back a few meters for the sake of keeping the disc moving with confidence an opportunity to go forward would open up.

Yes exactly. Local principles which players can apply, which lead to constantly connected shape and reliable quick disc movement. Vert stack is like a set play that you run over and over again, and as such it's very susceptible to smart defence. It's time we applied an alternative approach based on simple principles to coordinate player movements, like a flock of starlings.
