Pete your killing me, now I have to find a way to tow my kayak behind my bike to get to the south end!!! That spot looks AWESOME! I been eyeing up this place for some time now, it's a 3 mile paddle just to get to the first pump station, guess i have to convert the kiddie trailer to a kayak trailer now. Another GREAT video!!!!

I just fished that area a few weeks ago, in my Kayak. We didn't make the paddle all the way to the south end where the enhanced area is. It is a long haul. We made it about 4 miles in. No shortage of fish but as expected they were 12 to 14 inch fish. Wish that access to the south was easier. With out trekking with a trailer attached to bike, or kayak wheels. It will be interesting to see what develops over the years. It is a pretty good fishery already.

Sounds very similar to whats going on with Okeechobee right now. Looks like the CFCW (captains for clean water) organization is making an impact. Hopefully the same restoration will happen down there as well. I think even great fishing videos like yours can spread awareness to how important the health of our waters are. Keep em' coming!

Hey Pete, I can’t find any info on regulations for aerial photography. I have a dji spark I want to get some shots for school, do you know the rules or a website to see if it’s okay to fly and shoot video and pictures?

Not sure. Are you flying a drone? You may want to try the FWC.

The United States and Ukraine have a striking difference in their attitude towards nature! As for the large rivers, people have the most important thing to earn a lot of money, many installations that are take sand, then they either sell or make whole islands and sell them later, and the cost of such a territory is very high! And no one controls this process !!! The ecosystem is being disturbed! On the map of Kiyv area, you can see it yourself. Very sorry for the Dnieper. Now people who are not indifferent to the fate of the river and nature, in Kiev for two consecutive years, collect money, buy a lot of fish fry (sturgeon, sterlet, bream, crucian carp, pike) and release to the Dnieper! We will try to preserve our river, it gives us a lot, and we want to save it!

@palmbeachpete7 жыл бұрын
Even after the ramp is in, no airboats will be allowed and power boats can't do over 25 mph. That will be great for the paddlers.
@cm3gator5 жыл бұрын
So, you paddle? You feel its ok to keep airboats out because you like to paddle? You want exclusive access to public property? Airboat tax dollars count to. If you get your leg bit off by a gator out there who do think is going to help you? How long will it take 911 to respond to your calls? In the marshes the airboaters have rescued many people over the years because they were there. Food for thought before you go trying to keep something out that may just save your life one day.
@divorceva16 жыл бұрын
Who knows when they will put in a ramp so that this can be accessed with a bass boat? Can't believe the politicians spent a million tax dollars plus of public money to enhance this for fishing and didn't build a ramp. How much money is the Town of Fellsmere loosing in tourist dollars as a result of this idiocy.
@palmbeachpete6 жыл бұрын
I here that it could be a year or two before a ramp is built.
