Cool stuff, stay positive. Hey, I recommend that you watch those videos of truckers doing stupid stuff, like wrecks and stuff, the reason why is because after watching those you will gain insight in what can go wrong and keep watching them because you will soon instinctively know what will be a bad move.

@@momentofclarity4262 cool, you will do good. Hey, UberEats comes in handy sometimes if you want to get food delivered to your truck, if you got Hotspot on your phone, getcha a smart TV and you can connect your phone to it, also, if you go ahead and spend the money on a microwave you'll be able to save ya some money too, they got some pretty good TV diners, also, getcha a Love's coffee cup and just pay the refill price whenever you want to get a something to drink, coffee, capuchino, coke or whatever, it's like a dollar, you'll be racking up points in no time, use'em, buy like the phone mount or just whatever, also, keep track of where you got shower credits and use them and keep in mind that they normally expire after 10 days, so don't let'em expire, because it sucks pulling up to a truck stop, starting your break, thinking you got a shower credit because you know you haven't used it and then being told that you don't and then having to pay for it yourself, remember, they normally expire after 10 days, also get all the truck stop apps on your phone because sometimes they give you free top notch status, for example, Loves sometimes gives out free Diamond status and with that you get free showers the whole month but you gotta have the app for you to get it, also get the Cat Scale app because you can link your EFS card to it and then you can pay for it and get your scale ticket all from your phone, anyhow, just a few tips, if you got any questions just hollar

Do you know what breakdown pay is?
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourney2 жыл бұрын
50 dollars a day, after the first 24 hours but make sure you specifically ask for it just to be safe, if your truck goes into the shop they will pay for your hotel or fly you home or fly you to another truck to recover it but that is a big hassle you don't want to go through, can you imagine carrying TV, microwave, CB, clothes, all your stuff, paying extra for multiple bags on the flight, having some of your stuff rejected because it is not allowed on flights, I know it sounds messed up but breakdown pay is not something to look forward to when you are with Transam, changing trucks is a big hassle too But don't let none of that discourage you, some weeks you will do really good, other weeks might not be so good, but you will make some very good paychecks there, it ain't all good but it ain't all bad either

Why were your first 5 check 31cpm?
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourney2 жыл бұрын
When I started that was the rate per mile for beginners, maybe they have changed that but that is what they paid when I started back in May, 2021. I know that all the trucking companies have been increasing their pay so maybe Transam is now starting out new drivers with more.

I work for them now for about a month how do you get a raise???
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourney2 жыл бұрын
They called me and asked me if I was interested in another position. Are you making 31 cents a mile or did they start you off at a higher rate? I was making 31 when they gave me a raise. Try calling the recruiter, not your dispatch and ask if they have an other positions open that is paying more. Try calling recruiting and ask them.

Do they piss or hair. I'm clean for a urine test not a hair it's only been 2months and I'm not trying to take no chances
@kellyhoneyfeloncdljourney2 жыл бұрын
I started with Transam in May 2021 and back then they was only doing piss. Yep, do not take any chances because once you piss dirty you ain't gonna be doing any driving until you go through a whole bunch of other, extra stuff.
