To reduce vibration I would put a piece of rubber/inner tube between the points where the engine makes contact to the frame. Doing this saved a lot of time having to retighten up loose nuts and screws

Back in the day we used to use hockey puck mod on a mk3 front mount 😂😂🤣

This is not true putting rubber In between the mounts will actually make vibrations worse. Been building these for 12yrs now.
@jimferry65393 ай бұрын
@@mbrrideitlikeyoustoleit8436 it worked well for the few that I made some time ago, you can feel the difference in the handle bars and seat. It’s not perfect but it does definitely reduce it. If your using the parts that come with the basic 66cc/80cc, it’s usually the parts on the throttle and U -bolt that rattle the most. Plus it prevents paint scratches on the bike frame

I always say this but.....I so wish they'd build & sell a rear suspension version of those frames. To soak up those bumps when you're riding down Sherridan road in P town 👍
@jimferry65396 ай бұрын
Rear suspension would cause a slack in the chain. I would suggest just using a saddle with shock absorbers

@@jimferry6539 I can be done, no different than a motorcycle chain drive full suspension.
@jasondavis22406 ай бұрын
Yes it can be done; I've done it on several occasions with full sized mountain bikes and they all had adjustable shocks front and rear! Thinking about doing my 29inch but mounting a tank is going to be a big challenge for me unless I change the handlebars! I'm thinking about BMX bars.

I know you've probably heard it,but a pneumatic/spring seat post helps for @$30 and up. I agree with wanting suspension though,but until then...
