I am an absolute Simone Stan. I think she is an absolutely incredible athlete and also seems like a really great person, I mean we all know she is objectively amazing….BUT these girls here have worked so hard and I just wonder if they get sick of the conversation revolving around Simone. She isn’t even there and when they asked about Jocelyn’s (sp?) injury it’s almost as if they framed it around Simone, how she reacted, and how it affected her, which is frankly bizarre. These women are all world champions and I feel like their stories deserve to be told a bit more in the news media.

I hate how they do NO homework, and it's almost disrespectful to the other girls who worked so hard. Like: • Simone isn't gone because "she's competing in the other, individual events." There are 5 individual events coming up to compete in, and Simone is doing all of them. *But Shilese is also doing 4 of them* and is present. She probably just hates doing media, now. I don't blame her. • Skye Blakely is now a 2x Team World Champion- as are Leanne and Shi. They treated her (and tbh, the whole team) like they were just like to be there with Simone and new to all this. • Whether they meant to or not, they implied that none of the other girls' work really mattered and that basically whichever Team has Simone would win. And that's not reality. Sure, between USA/Brazil/France, maybe. But if NED, ITA, or JPN had Simone on their Team, they all still would have lost. These girls gave Simone the platform to BE what pushed them over. It is a *TEAM* event. Simone was their role model, their VIP, and their leader. But she is not and was not *THE TEAM* who won.

If they actually knew what they were talking about they would know how huge their offense was. For those that are actually curious Simone as other gymnasts with extremely hard skills have done in the past is saving the double pike for event finals because it’s simply not worth it to risk injury if the score is not needed. She already had it named in qualifications so if she wanted to she doesn’t have to do it again but I think she will to delight us in event finals.

She commented on this. She wants fewer distractions and to focus more, also her presence tends to overshadow the other amazing athletes. The interviewers focus on Simone when Shilese is the reigning Silver World Championship All Around medalist. Simone is limiting media to allow the girls to have their time to shine. She'll stick around for interviews immediately after the event, but we probably won't see her do many outside media engagements during Worlds.

USA won the women's Team Final at worlds in 2011, (USA won the 2012 Olympics Team Final but that isn't worlds), 2013 there was no team final due to it being the year after the Olympics, 2014 USA won, 2015 USA won, (USA won the 2016 Olympics Team Final but that isn't worlds) 2017 there was no team final due to it being the year aftet the Olympics, USA won in 2018, USA won in 2019, No Worlds or Olympics in 2020 due to COVID, (USA won silver in the Team Final at the 2020 (2021) Olympics but that isn't worlds), 2021 worlds there was no team final due to it being the "year after" the Olympics, 2022 USA won, and 2023 USA won. So while they have won 7 straight and they have won every world Team Final since 2011 that has been held, there aren't Team Finals at Worlds the year after the Olympics because that is considered a rebuilding year so those are just individual World Championships and the Olympics aren't counted in that "seven straight" count. I hope this helps! :)

Actually I trade cryptocurrency on a platform, with assistance from top crypto experts. Mr Brenda Leigh Van is my professional assistant, I have been trading with her for 8 months now... I've really made a lot from her strategies in trading of cryptocurrencies.,

I have to ask what does Joeslyn bring to the team? I haven't seen her do anything great. So many other gymnasts were better than her but she gets picked for the team.

Why should Roberson get a medal. She did nothing except hurt herself in warmups. Sat there and watched.

In addition to the other comments, Roberson participated in qualifications, where team USA qualified in first. That is part of the competition. She contributed.

I find it funny how the US dominates women's gymnastics but the same cannot be said of the men's team. Why are the US women so much better at gymnastics than the US men? Could it be because Americans view gymnastics as a girly sport that if American men participated in it they would be bullied for playing in a weak sport?

Nothing "girly" about mens gymnastics its quite the opposite.I just think its because the rewards aren't that great compared to other sports.

honestly I think if more black boys took up men's gymnastics they'd actually end up winning competitions.
