Thank you so much! 💛Since we last talked in your last video my first Bucilla kit has arrived! I've started the "Under the Tree" felt stocking. It's so fun and relaxing :) One day I ended up doing so much of my kit that when I went cross stitch a bit, I started putting knots on the ends of the thread instead of doing my favorite, the loop method to start 😅😄 but I caught myself on time and it made me laugh a bit.

OMG! I do that same thing with the knots when I switch back 🤣 I'm sooo happy you're enjoying your kit! Sometimes my hands just crave the felt kits ☺️

I've watched so many videos trying to see all aspects of the felt kits and this one is by far the BEST one. Thank you SO much! I love that all the steps you show are in one video instead of 10 different ones as well. Great job!

Thank you for the absolute best video on the different stitches!! Thank you! I am doing my first stocking for my Grandson and eventually Granddaughter. I have never done this before and it's so confusing if you don't have any clue on the different stitches. The names for the stitches and pieces are so confusing but you truly made my craft so much easier to tackle. Thank you again!

Seriously thank you! I second what the last commenter said which is that I've scanned thru a bunch of vids and this one has actually prepared me and shown me the steps I needed to begin a Bucilla ornament kit and then I'm going to start a stocking for my kid. I'm literally learning step by step following you. Thank you so much for this video!

Lots of good tips, Christine! I enjoyed seeing each of the stitches. For the satin-stitched circle, I liked the version with outlining =). I've also seen where the outlining stitch is done first and the satin stitching goes just over the outer edge of the outlining. Satin stitch is the stitch I struggled with most (especially circles!) when I did a lot of embroidery. The outline stitch with beading that you showed is very pretty. Thanks for sharing the tools you find helpful. That divided tray you found at the dollar store is perfect for when you're beading & sequining! I use those little round screw-on lid containers to store my extra beads from the Mill Hill kits -- those containers are fantastic.

Thank you! Yes, I've heard about doing the satin stitch with the outline first and someday, I may just give it a shot! Great idea for using the screw kids for MH beads!👍

This video has been so helpful! I bought the butterfly kit, but haven't started it yet because it felt so daunting. Your sequin organization is great! Now I know how to proceed. So when I get my current projects completed I can start it. 😊 I love all your videos. I am cross stitching the Marjolein Bastin Four Seasons kit now because you started it. I only do one cross stitch at a time but I also knit, quilt, crochet, cook, garden, and read so I am hoping to finish it in one year. It is daunting but I just focus on one little section at a time. Thanks again! Valerie

I've been stitching Bucilla kits about as long as you have and now I replace the kit threads with DMC (unless the kit contents state that the thread is made in France). I have full collections plus extras of DMC and Anchor floss since I've cross stitched since 1977!

That is a great tip! As a matter of fact, I ran out of blue thread in this kit and had to sub the "good" dmc from my stash and it makes ALL the difference.

Thanks Wendy! Well, they sit in a bin until Xmas when I hang them on the tree🎄 I'm really hoping to find a way to display them seasonally like a mantel garland or something. Sadly, home decor is not my strongest skill 🤣

@barbf8628 0 seconds ago I'm asking this all over, hoping someone will have, if not a whole answer, at least some ideas. I have an old wool blanket that has been washed multiple times so has felted and shrunk. I want to make tin saddle pad, about three layers worth of this blanket. Do you think I can felt the layers together? What would be my options for doing so?
